THE ENEMY OF DESTINY

SCRIPTURE: Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. – Proverbs 16:18

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God is looking for people to raise and not for already raised people to advertise.

The stories of Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 4:30-33) and Lucifer (Ezekiel 28:14-18) confirm that God’s honour belongs to the humble and not to the proud. A person who must go far in life must come to a point where he boasts about nothing except his dependence on God.

The greatest secret to becoming a person who God will raise in this generation to fulfil His purpose is continuous expression of helplessness and nothingness before God; it is letting God know that apart from Him, you are nothing. No matter the level of your exploits in life, always let God know that He is the reason behind those exploits. No wonder, the greatest enemy of destiny is PRIDE.

Beloved, God is looking for people to raise, and not for already raised people to advertise. He is not looking for someone who will not struggle with Him for His glory. He is looking for someone who will return all the glory to Him.

As you make up your mind to remain humble, I prophesy your lift in life. You will never know the low places of life, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: God is looking for people to raise, and not for already raised people to advertise.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1.Ask God for the grace to always be humble.
2. Periodically embark on a “consecrational” fast to humble the flesh.

PRAYER: O LORD, break me and make me humble like Your Son Jesus Christ. Let the voice of my flesh be buried in You, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.
