THE MINISTRY OF THE WORD

SCRIPTURE: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. – Isaiah 55:11

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anywhere God wants to distinguish anything, He sends His Word.

The Word of God has a ministry; a specific assignment to fulfil in the life of every child of God. The Word of God is the same as the God of the Word. That is why the declaration of His Word equals the manifestation of His Presence. The actions of God are sponsored by His Word.

What then are the dimensions of the Ministry of the Word?
1. The Word of God is the light of God. It brings illumination and clarity to life and destiny. It also brings distinction. Anywhere God wants to distinguish anything, He sends His Word (Isaiah 60:1).
2. God’s Word is God’s instrument for boundary establishment, demarcation and delineation. The Word of God keeps things where they belong. The Word of God keeps negative things from trespassing into your life (Hebrews 11:3).
3. The Word of God is God’s gathering equipment (Genesis 1:9-10).
4. The Word of God is both a fertilizer and harvester. There is more to you than what you see. So, it is the word of God that fertilizes and brings out your potentials.

I decree today that as you study and apply the Word of God to your daily life, you shall be victorious on every side in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Anywhere God wants to distinguish anything, He sends His Word.

1. Read, listen, study, meditate and speak the Word into your Spirit always.
2. Be committed to the practical application of the Word of God.

PRAYER: O LORD, I ask that You frame and define the boundaries of my life by Your Word. Grant me the grace to apply Your Word in every area of my life in Jesus’ Name.
