THE ESSENCE OF WORKING TOOLS
SCRIPTURE: And there shalt thou build an altar unto the LORD thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them. – Deuteronomy 27:5
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Whenever you have the right tools, you reduce sweat, toil and stress.
It is important to know that one of the attributes of great men is diligence (Proverb 22:29). Therefore, in order to work effectively, every diligent worker needs a tool to carry out his work.
Now, the question is, what is a tool?
A tool as a device that aids someone to accomplish a task. It is something in your possession that helps you achieve a particular purpose. A tool, therefore, is a means to an end, and not an end in itself.
There are various tools in life. A medical doctor has a sphygmomanometer which he uses to measure blood pressure, a stethoscope for listening to heart sounds. A tailor uses a measuring tape, scissors, needle, thread, etc. A technician uses spanners, screwdrivers, chisels and other tools.
Now, what are the benefits of tools?
1. Tools reduce stress, sweat and toil. Whenever you have the right tools, you reduce sweat, toil and stress. This means that if you can locate the proper tools to pray (worship, word revelation and faith expectation), prayer will be without stress, sweat and toil.
2. Tools establish ease and speed. Work becomes faster with tools. If you locate the correct tool in business, career or in the work of ministry, it establishes you in the realm of ease and speed.
My counsel is, locate the right tool in order to reduce your stress, sweat and toil. As you work with the right tool, I prophesy ease and speed in your life in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this: Whenever you have the right tools, you reduce sweat, toil and stress.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Ask God to show you the right tool for your work
2. Make demands for the Grace of God to use the tools effectively.
PRAYER: Open my eyes O LORD, to see the right tool for effective service. Help my life to be productive, in Jesus’ Name.
QUOTE: When we come into His presence, nothing else is needed for us to encounter Him; He is more than enough. Every other form of furniture or equipment becomes irrelevant. Culled from THE PROTOCOL OF THE ARK by Dr Becky Enenche.
