THE PROFIT OF AUTHORITY
SCRIPTURE: For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. – Matthew 8:9
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There is a limit to which your impact and influence can be felt if you lack authority.
Our God is a God of authority, influence and power Who desires that we should be like Him. This is why He created us in His Image. One critical design or attribute of man as created by God is authority.
Now, why does God want us to be in authority?
Authority Brings Influence.
God puts His children in authority in order to give them influence in their generation. The truth, it is possible to be generationally influential by the frequency of authority. Examples of people who influenced their generations through the power of authority abound in the Scripture. Joseph influenced and impacted the whole of Egypt positively by being in authority. Daniel impacted and influenced the whole of Babylon positively and spiritually by being in authority. Queen Esther influenced the whole of the Persian Empire positively and spiritually because she was in authority.
One thing that God passionately wants to do is to place His children in positions of authority over families, states, territories, regions, organizations, institutions and nations so that those entities can be maximally and positively influenced for God.
Beloved, there is a limit to which your impact and influence can be felt if you lack authority. Authority makes you stand out in life.
Beloved, I decree today that you are stepping into the realm of authority in life, in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this: there is a limit to which your impact and your influence can be felt if you lack authority.
