THE CROSS-OUR REMEDY FOR SICKNESS AND DISEASES

SCRIPTURE: And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. – Numbers 21:8

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Cross is the cure for every power of satan at work in your life.

The children of Israel, on their way to the Promised Land from Egypt, were given the provision of God’s Presence, Manna and water.
However, despite all these provisions, they became very discouraged and depressed on their way and began to speak against Moses and against God. The result of their murmuring was that God released dangerous snakes into their midst and began to kill them. Then they cried to the same Moses who they were talking against. God then told Moses to make brazen serpent on a lifted pole. Anyone who was bitten by the serpent, once they looked up at the brazen serpent on the pole, would be healed.

What does this mean? The brazen serpent is a typology of Jesus Christ who hung on the Cross. The Bible says: ‘And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:’ John 3:14. That is to say the same way the serpent was lifted in the wilderness was the way Jesus Christ was lifted. That means beholding the Cross of Christ has the capacity to kill the venom of sin, sickness and affliction imposed on you by the devil. The Cross is the cure for every power of satan at work in your life. If you catch this revelation, you will never be sick for the rest of your life.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Ask God to open your eyes to see the sacrifice of Christ on the cross.
2. Stop every form of murmuring against God and His servant.
3. Look at the Crucified Christ with the eyes of faith to terminate every sin and sickness in your life.

PRAYER: LORD, I confess every consequence of murmuring against You and Your servant. Open my eyes to see the crucified Christ on the cross in order to be healed of every sickness in my life in Jesus’ Name.
