BE DIFFERENT FROM THE REST

SCRIPTURE: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you” – 2 Corinthians  6:17

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot make a difference until you are different.

To be different is to be distinct in quality and nature from the rest. It has been confirmed that you cannot make a difference until you are different. And until your nature is different your future can never be different.

Beloved, the tragedy today is that it is difficult to differentiate a believer from an unbeliever because of similarity in habits.

For instance, an unbeliever can sign 7:30am as his resumption time in his office when he actually resumed work at 9am.  Unbelievers can mix kerosene with petrol to sell in order to make more profit. It is very unfortunate that there are some people who claim to be believers that are involved in the same corrupt practices today. The truth of the matter is, if a Christian has the same kind of corrupt habit with an unbeliever; it means his eternal destination is not different from that of an unbeliever. That destination is eternity in hell fire!

Beloved, please be different from them. Stand out from the rest.

Remember this: You cannot make a difference until you are different.

THE BENEFITS OF BEING A BLESSING

OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." – Genesis 12:3 NIV

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Being a blessing connects a person to a ceaseless flow of the blessing

The Will of God for His children is to be channels of blessing (Genesis 1:28). From our anchor scripture, we understand that by being a blessing to people, a person becomes a blessing.

Now, what are the benefits of being a blessing?
1. Being a blessing connects a person to a ceaseless flow of the Blessing: “I will bless you and you shall be a blessing.” (Genesis 12:3).
2. Being a blessing makes a person escape the curse.
3. Being a blessing releases the nature of God in man. The nature of God is the nature of authority, power and dominion. So, exhibit that nature by being a blessing.
4. Being a blessing releases in a person the joy of impact. It is a wonderful experience when you can turn around and see many lives your life has helped. You do not know joy until you know what it means to bless others. It is the joy of impact and fulfilment.

As you make up your mind to be a blessing today, I prophesy the release of the benefits highlighted above on your life, in Jesus’ Name.

THE MARKETING OF THE FLESH
SCRIPTURE: “And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart” – Proverbs 7:10

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot dress like the devil and claim to be like God.

The marketing of the flesh connotes the exposure of sensitive parts of the body with the intention to seduce.

From our anchor scripture above, it is established that there is the attire (a dressing) of a harlot. Commercial organizations market their products extensively through advertisement. In the same manner, the attire of a harlot is the attire that merchandises the human flesh as a product to be exploited.

In this end time, there is the shameless showcasing of the flesh. It is impossible to differentiate a Jezebel (immoral and seductive woman) from a Christian. They wear dresses that are very revealing and tight on their bodies, yet, they come to church to sing and clap. The question is: who are they deceiving?

The challenge is, many children of God have joined the children of the devil in fulfilling satan’s vision by directing people to the path that will lead them into damnation with their looks.

But that shall not be your portion in Jesus’ Name.  You cannot dress like the devil and claim to be like God.

THE TRAGEDY OF UNFAITHFULNESS.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Divine mantles are inheritable by others.

Sometime ago, someone who founded one of the largest churches in the world today was called by God into ministry. Before he went into the town where he started his ministry, another person was already pastoring a church bearing the same name with his present ministry in that town. But along the line, the person who was there before messed up in ministry so terribly that he had to close down the church and probably ran out of ministry.

Many years later, God raised this other man of God who founded one of the largest churches in the world today and literally gave him the same vision, same name of ministry and commissioned him to start the same assignment in the same town. Afterwards, the church exploded and it is still exploding.

You know, people may fail but Divine purpose cannot fail. If one person fails in fulfilling God’s purpose for his life in his generation, God will raise another person to fulfill the same purpose because divine mantles are inheritable by others.

Beloved, what has God called you to do? Do it faithfully so that it is not given to another.

UNVEILING MYSTERIES

SCRIPTURE: Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. – Jeremiah 33:3

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is at the place of prayer that mysteries are revealed.

A lady who was always a victim of failure at the edge of breakthrough for a long time decided to wait on the Lord in prayer and fasting so she can be delivered. She was desperate to know what could be behind the reoccurring failures she was experiencing.

So, in the course of her prayer and fasting, she saw herself in a revelation, standing on a queue where people were being given gifts. But when it was her turn to collect her own, someone who looked exactly like her jumped in from nowhere and stood in her place on the queue, collected the gift that was meant for her and disappeared. That was a demon that was always taking what belonged to her. By that revelation and prayer, that demon was arrested.

God can show you mysteries behind the ugly experiences in your life at the place of prayer.
Revelation is the secret of elevation. God can show you the secret to your next level in life at the place of prayer. So, it is at the place of prayer that mysteries are revealed.

When we invest at the place of prayer, we access secrets and mysteries concerning our lives and destinies.

YOUR PRAYER AND YOUR FUTURE

SCRIPTURE: And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. – Genesis 32:28

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Prayer does not only affect the moment, it also affects the future.

Prayer is one of the strongest forces on earth with the capacity to make lasting generational impact in a person’s life and destiny. It is important to note that prayer does not only affect the moment, it also affects the future.

Prayer is the only tool that can deal with history and the present. It also has the ability to rearrange destiny.

Now, let us look at the generational impact of prayer in the life of Jacob.

Prayer broke the generational curse on the life of Jacob. Although there were many curses in Jacob’s lineage, our focus will be on one: barrenness.

The word, barrenness, was first used in the Bible in connection with Sarah who was Jacob’s grandmother. This is evident in Genesis 11:30: But Sarai was barren; she had no child.

The second time barrenness was mentioned in the Scripture was with Sarah’s daughter-in-law, Jacob’s mother, Rebecca, who was also barren (Genesis 25:21). It was also recorded that Jacob’s two wives were barren (Genesis 29:31). But Jacob decided to end the curse of barrenness at the place of prayer. And subsequently, barrenness was no longer mentioned in his lineage.

As you give yourself to prayer, I prophesy the termination of every generational curse in your life, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Prayer does not only affect the moment, it also affects the future.

1. Have a consistent prayer schedule.

3. Identify any negative cycle around your life and attack it at the place of prayer.

PROPHETIC IMPARTATION

OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. – Acts 4:13

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A man without a pastor is a man without a pasture and a man without a prophet is a man without profit.

Prophetic impartation is the transfer of spiritual virtues from the vessel of higher concentration to the vessel of lower concentration through the administration of the power, principles and the presence of God without diminution or reduction in the quality and quantity of the former.

Genuine pastors, spiritual fathers and prophets are the channels of Divine prophetic impartation. That is why a man without a pastor is a man without a pasture; a man without a father is a man without a ladder; a man without a prophet is a man without profit.

So, a genuine man of God has the capacity to pull out greatness that has hitherto been locked up or that did not even exist before in a person. He can bring out some-entities from a nonentity. It is like Moses hitting the rock and water coming out (Numbers 20:11).

Now, these are the keys to prophetic impartation:
1. Value for God and His prophet.
2. Hunger/desperation
3. Connecting via prophetic seed

By the prophetic mantle of God on my life, I prophesy upon you, greatness is coming out of you, every hidden potential in you shall erupt in Jesus’ Name.

AVOIDING THE WRONG COMPANY

SCRIPTURE:  Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. – Proverbs 27:17

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your company determines your destiny; your association determines your assimilation; who you follow determines what follows you.

A wrong company is the company that has the potential to corrupt a person and prevent him from fulfilling his Divine assignment.

Your company determines your destiny; who you follow determines what follows you.

If you are an eagle, company with eagles, avoid the company of vultures because vultures eat corruption while eagles do not. In the same manner, if you are a lion, do not company with hyenas because hyenas eat rotten meat while lions do not eat anything that is rotten

Never company just for socialization; instead, company for positive impartation. Do not make friends just for fun, make friends for fire. Connect with those who can fuel your fire and inflame your enthusiasm.

Now, there are some friends you may need to disconnect from if you must achieve your future. Anybody who is not going in your direction does not deserve your association. The truth is, friendship is not by force but by choice. Love is a command but friendship is a choice. You are to love liberally but relate selectively.

PASSION FOR EXCELLENCE

OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. – Daniel 6:3

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Average input can never produce an excellent outcome; what you inject into life determines what you eject out of life.

Excellence is the quality of being outstanding. It is key to eminence and prominence. To escape mediocrity or average existence is to embrace excellence. Your passion for excellence determines your portion in destiny. It is your passion for excellence that determines your impact in life. You cannot do things shabbily and expect to make any meaningful mark in your generation.

Excellence magnetizes prominence and prominence facilitates the making of impact.

Though Daniel was not a Babylonian by nationality, he rose to the top on the wings of excellence.

Beloved, whatever you do, ensure you give it your best. A particular thing may be good enough but I have realized that good enough is never enough. It is being better than the best that is good enough. Make up your mind to do things with excellence.

One of my principles is that whatever will not be done excellently must be left totally. Average input can never produce an excellent outcome. It is input that determines outcome; what you inject into life determines what you eject out of life.

THE DIET OF FRESH WORD

OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. – Jeremiah 15:16

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your spirituality is directly proportional to your word intake; low Word intake equals low spiritual intensity.

The diet of the fresh Word of God is necessary for the spiritual nourishment and health of a Christian. To take the diet of fresh Word means to be given to the studying of God’s Word daily. It is to enrich one’s spirit with the Word of God.

The truth is, a person can never be more spiritual than the revelations he gets from the Word of God. Your spirituality is directly proportional to your Word intake. Low Word intake equals low spiritual intensity.
When you are too busy for the Word of God, you are too busy to be blessed by God. This is because the Word of God is the container of the blessings of God.

You can feed directly from the Bible or from the specialized diet prepared by God’s genuine servants through audio tapes, CDs, DVDs, anointed books etc.

The Word of God sustains the depth of the spirit. Each time a person’s spirit becomes bankrupt of the Word of God, he becomes empty of depth and bankrupt of substance.

I prophesy on you fresh hunger and appetite for the Word of God. Receive the grace to encounter fresh revelations in Jesus’ Name.

YOUR GIFT AND YOUR LIFT

SCRIPTURE: A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. – Proverbs 18:16

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot hoard your potentials and reach your destiny.

From the above passage, we can ascertain that a man's gift does not only make room for him but has the capacity to catapult him from nothingness to prominence.

Your gift is key to your lift; your gift is your vehicle to your destiny; and your potential is your access to your possibilities.

But the fact is that our talents or gifts are not at equal levels. So, do not let the consciousness of people feeling intimidated by your potentials thwart your capacity to manifest them.

The truth is, by the time we arrive in eternity, God will ask us, “The potentials that I bypassed several people to give you, how did you use them? Did you leave them redundant? Did you use them to gain popularity for yourself or did you use them to expand my Kingdom and impact humanity?”

Beloved, You cannot hoard your potentials and reach your destiny; you cannot hoard what you can do and become what you are meant to become in life. Impossible!

I prophesy to you, as you determine to deploy your gift(s), you shall experience a lift to a higher level, in Jesus’ Name.

FASTING – KEY TO LASTING IMPACT

OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. – Isaiah 40:31

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To have a lasting result, you must have a fasting schedule; anyone who cannot fast, cannot last.

Fasting connotes abstention from food or some types of food.

Fasting puts the flesh under control to increase spiritual antenna and sensitivity.
To have a lasting result, you must have a fasting schedule; anyone who cannot fast, cannot last. The lack of fasting is a reason for the abortion of some great destinies. The inefficiency of fasting equals deficiency of potentials.

The truth is, those who feast while others fast may fall while others fly.  Those who are feasting and playing while others are fasting and praying cannot have impact that can stand the test of time.

You have not done anything about your destiny until you have done something about your fasting.  Do not fast because of a challenge, but fast in order to maintain spiritual fire and intensity.

To fast only when there is a problem is an emergency management approach; it is anti-spirituality. It is habitual fasting that makes a person to be equal to any spiritual emergency any day and anytime.
Beloved, whatever fights your ability to fast, fights your destiny. So, you must fight it brutally if you must make a lasting impact on earth.

Remember this: To have a lasting result, you must have a fasting schedule; anyone who cannot fast, cannot last.

ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Consciously resist every resistance to your fasting life
2. Determine to engage yourself in a periodic fasts- it could be once or twice a week, depending on your ability.

PRAYER: LORD, I take authority over any weakness of the flesh that may be resisting my fasting schedule. I receive the grace O LORD to live a life of fasting, in Jesus’ Name.

YOUR CHARACTER AND YOUR DESTINY

SCRIPTURE: Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch. – Genesis 49:4.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your manners determine your making; your nature determines your future and your habits determine your habitat in life.

There is an undeniable connection between character and destiny. From our anchor scripture, we can deduce that as soon as Reuben had a carnal knowledge of his father’s wife, he lost grip of his destiny.

Beloved, your character is the greatest determinant of your destiny. Who you are determines what you can become. The quality of your destiny is affected by the strength of your character. What differentiates people’s destinies is their manner. We can have the same destiny if we have the same manner. To matter in life you must be a person of quality manner.

Your manners determine your making; your nature determines your future and your habits determine your habitat in life.

The truth is, if the devil wants to destroy your destiny he begins to tempt you to compromise your integrity. The way of integrity, at any time, is superior to the way of compromise.

Your character is an expression of who you are. To succeed in life, you must be a person of character.

THE GOD-FIRST MENTALITY

OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE:  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. – Matthew 6:33.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To be interested in the interests of God is to be treasured by God. You cannot put God first and come last in life.

The God-first mentality is the mentality that makes God the number one priority of one’s existence.

It is the mentality that places Kingdom priority ahead of personal priorities. So, when God sees a person who is more passionate about His Kingdom than his or her personal pursuits, He baptizes such a person with the mantle needed to impact his or her generation.

To be interested in the interests of God is to be treasured by God. You cannot put God first and come last in life.

The reason many people crash in life is that they lack the God-first mentality. It is one thing to be blessed by God and it is another thing to realize continuously that God is your Blesser. When you earn money, what do you do with it first? It determines whether or not you have a God-first mentality.

Beloved, in your life’s assignments and endeavours, make up your mind to exist with the God-first mentality. Let God be the centre of your existence.

LOOKING UP TO GOD

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you wait on God, He uncovers mysteries surrounding your life.

From our anchor scripture, we see that it is never a waste of time to look up to God, especially when it is accompanied with fasting and praying. When you look up to God, He removes every shame and reproach from your life.

What, then, are the benefits of looking up to God?
1. To look up to God is to be lightened. Waiting on God is the period of connecting with fresh revelation, illumination and direction. When you wait on God, He uncovers mysteries surrounding your life.
2. You are delivered from gloominess having unburdened every weight plaguing your life.
3. You are delivered from the embarrassments of life.

Beloved, to look up to God means to look away from every other alternative including yourself. This is when you come to the point where no man can beat his chest and say he is behind your success; a point where you know, God knows and even the devil knows that you cannot exist without God.

YOUR PRAISE AND YOUR SUPPLY

OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. – Psalm 67:5-7

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your praise is the fertilizer of your resources for multiplication.

It can be deduced from the anchor scripture that there is a connection between praising God and our supplies. It is when we release our praise to God that He commands the earth to yield her increase to us.

Now, what is the connection between praise and supply from God?
1. Praise puts the earth under pressure to release the increase packaged into it for us.
2. Praise releases the unction for multiplication on our resources. Your praise is the fertilizer of your resources for multiplication (John 6:12). Whatever dries up your joy, dries up your resources (Joel 1:12).
3. Praise brings favour and favour brings addition. A man who knows how to praise is a man that is connected to high favour.
4. Praise brings direction and direction brings provision (2 Kings 3:15).

Beloved, it does not matter what is going wrong in your life, there is something that is right, and it shows that you have enough reasons to praise God.

VISION AND ENLARGEMENT

SCRIPTURE: And the Lord said unto Abram after that Lot was separated from him, lift up now thine eyes and look from the place where thou art, northwards and south wards and eastwards and west wards for all the land which thou seest to thee will I give it and to thy seed forever. – Genesis 13:14

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If it can cross your mind, it can cross your life.

Vision is the realization of God’s plan for a person’s life. It is a mental picture of one’s preferred future.

It takes a man who is able to see beyond his immediate circumstance to exceed limits and connect to God’s plan for his life. What you picture determines your future. God is not in short supply of what to give; it is man’s shortsightedness that is the challenge.  If it can cross your mind, it can cross your life.

Now, how does vision bring enlargement?
1. What occupies your heart determines what is attracted into your life.
2. The size of vision determines both the size of plan and the size of action, thereby, resulting in size of outcome.
3. Vision is the fuel for speed. The brighter you see, the faster you run and the faster you cover more ground.
4. What a man sees determines what God gives. God will never tempt you with what is bigger than your thoughts.
5. Vision is a department of faith. When you see it, it happens. Faith is critical to our possessions in life.

MAINTAINING SPIRITUAL INTENSITY

OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord. – Romans 12:11

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anytime your soul begins to lack the Word of God, you begin to run down spiritually.

The most important aspect of a man’s life is his spiritual life. You can locate your bearing in life if your spiritual bearing is right. Many people begin well with God but after a while, they begin to slack in their devotion to God.

What does it take to maintain spiritual intensity?
1. Identify and continually review your spiritual goals and vision for the year. Every time you review your vision, it imparts passion, passion provokes action, action fuels motion and motion gives acceleration.
2. Maintain a consistent, habitual and consecrational schedule of fasting at least once or twice a week (Isaiah 40:31)
3. Maintain a consistent diet of fresh Word (Psalm 39:3). Anytime your soul begins to lack the Word of God, you begin to run down spiritually.
4. Maintain consistent fellowship with the brethren. Do not be over-confident of your personal spirituality.
5. Accept spiritual responsibility. This is when you come to a point where your prayer life is focused on other people more than yourself.
6. Avoid the wrong company
7. Maintain a permanent atmosphere of God’s Presence.

Remember this: Anytime your soul begins to lack the Word of God, you begin to run down spiritually.

SECRETS TO DIVINE PRESERVATION

OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. – Isaiah 54:17

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Divine preservation and defence are your birthright.

It is established that Divine preservation or protection is the heritage of God’s people. If you are a genuine child of God, you do not struggle to be preserved by God. Divine preservation and defence are your birthright.

God made it clear that anyone who touches you is touching the apple of His Eyes. (Zechariah 2:8). So, anyone who tries to dare you is trying to dip his fingers in God’s Eyes. When you are in God’s Hands, you are preserved.

WHAT THEN ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PRESERVATION?

1. Dwell in the secret place of the Most High:
Dwelling in God’s Presence is a secret of Divine preservation (Psalm 23:4). Whatever takes you from the Presence of God leads you into disaster.

Whatever reduces your prayer life, study of the Word or worship makes you vulnerable. Anything that disconnects you from God wants to destroy your life.

2. Declare your confidence in God’s preservation.
What you say affects your survival. Let your declarations be in line with what God has said concerning you (Psalm 91:2, Proverbs 18:21).

I prophesy the preservation of God upon your life, family and the work of your hands, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Divine preservation and defence are your birthright.

SECRETS OF TRUE JOY

OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: …neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength. – Nehemiah 8:10b

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: In order to be in good health, you must maintain your joy.

Living in the state of permanent joy, celebration and excitement is God’s Will for His children. Joy is an asset of non-quantifiable worth as far as spirituality is concerned (Galatians 5:22).

From the Scripture above, God admonishes us not to be sorrowful in life because His Joy is our strength. One primary target of the devil is attacking the joy of God’s people because he knows that your joy is literally your live wire.

The Necessity of Joy

1. Joy is the fuel for supernatural strength
Your joy is the fuel for stamina, energy, strength, resilience, indefatigability, indomitability and “unfightability”. Joy is needed for strength in order to withstand the battles of life (Proverbs 24:10)

2. Joy is the tonic for health
It is clear from the scripture above that your joy is needed for a sound health (Proverbs 17:22). In order to be in good health, you must maintain your joy. Oppression rises on the platform of depression. This is why the enemy attacks your joy in order to attack your health, thereby, attacking your life.

The Joy of the Lord is your strength in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: In order to be in good health, you must maintain your joy.

1. Never allow the enemy to determine your joy. Do everything you can to keep your joy intact.
2. Always confront your problems with your praise and thanksgiving.

THE REWARDS OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP

OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. - Psalm 100:4

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Prayer without thanksgiving is a religious exercise without result

It is clear that every instruction from God to man is basically for the benefit of man. Even the devil knows this. That is why the devil always wants to make man disregard Divine instructions so as to bring about a total waste of man’s life.

The phrase, enter his gates with thanksgiving, is a command, not an advice. One notable reward of praise and worship to God is ACCESS TO HIS PRESENCE AND ANSWERS TO PRAYERS. Praise experts have more results than fasting experts without praise.

How does praise give us access to His Presence and answers to prayers?
1. It is a spiritual protocol.
Praise is a key to accessing God’s Presence. Murmuring and grumbling will keep you out of His Presence. Prayer without thanksgiving is a religious exercise without result (Philippians 4:6)

2. Whenever God is Glorified, His Goodness is Manifested
It is not possible to praise God and He refuses to show up. If you want God’s intervention, give Him appreciation. (Psalm 50:23)

3. Praise Expresses Faith and Faith Moves God into Action
Praise in the midst of problems is the highest expression of faith. Wherever God sees faith, He moves into action. (Psalm 106:12)

ENGAGING THE HEART IN PRAYER

OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the Lord. – Jeremiah 30:21

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A person who decides to focus his heart in prayers is the person that God hears.

From the anchor scripture, it is clear that the kind of prayers that produce kingdom giants and stars do not only involve physical activity or the volume of utterance but prayers that involve the engagement of the heart.

Now, what is the kind of prayer that engages the heart?
1. They are prayers that proceed from the depth of the heart
2. They are prayers in which the mind and the body are in harmony with the heart; not absent-minded.
3. They are prayers that involve the full occupation of the heart. A person who decides to focus his heart in prayers is a person that God hears.

What are the benefits of Engaging the Heart in Prayers?

1. It secures God’s attention.
The Bible confirms in Isaiah 65:24 that while we are yet speaking, God answers. That is to say, it is the call from the heart that God hears.

2. It confirms the presence of faith.
Whenever God sees your faith, He moves into action (Hebrews 11:6)

Remember this: A person who decides to focus his heart in prayers is the person that God hears.

1. Engage your body, soul and spirit while praying.
2. Pray without ceasing.

CHANNELS OF THE BLESSING

SCRIPTURE: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: – Genesis 12:2

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Before any ancestral curse existed, the blessing was on ground.

One of the easiest realms to operate on earth is walking in the blessing of God. It is easier for a man to be blessed than to be cursed. This is because at creation, God imparted the blessing on man. Before any ancestral curse ever existed, the blessing was on ground.

The major reason God blesses a person is so that the person can be a blessing to his or her generation. Everyone is blessed to the capacity of his or her readiness to bless others. God does not have a challenge with blessing you as long as you do not struggle with being a blessing to others.

There are diverse avenues for the blessing that God has opened in order for us to become channels of blessings to our generation.

Now, what are these channels or avenues of the blessing?
1. The Tithe
2. First fruit
3. Free will offering
4. Kingdom project
5. Sacrificial giving
6. Vows
7. Thanksgiving offering
8. Prophetic/priestly offering
9. Giving to the poor/underprivileged

LIBERTY FROM CAPTIVITY

SCRIPTURE: Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus sayeth the Lord, even the captive of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered… – Isaiah 49:24-25

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When your Word comes, your prison door opens

One of the sweetest things on earth is freedom. However, people do not know the value of true freedom until it has been taken from them.

There are many people in spiritual bondage or captivity. Spiritual captivity comes in the form of restriction or denial of rights and privileges, deprivation of self-determination, denial of voice for expression, etc. It is also the restriction or denial of progress and the restriction of access to resources.

How, then, does God deal with captivity?
1. By visiting the foundation of your prison by His Power (Acts 16:25)
2. By opening your prison doors supernaturally.
3. By breaking the chains in your life that prevent progress, facilitate poverty and limit your destiny.
4. By killing and burying unrepentant agents of captivity. There are people that may never be free until some human agents of the devil are killed by God.

Below are the keys to accessing liberty from captivity.
1. Freedom from iniquity: When iniquities are confronted, captivities are terminated. (Lamentations 2:14)
2. Light/knowledge from Scripture: It is your knowledge of the Word that terminates your captivity.

WISDOM FOR PRESERVATION

SCRIPTURE: He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. – Proverbs 28:26

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It takes the mentality of God to handle the calamities of life.

The Wisdom of God for preservation is very necessary to survive the wickedness in the world. It takes the mentality of God to handle the calamities of life. The Bible says in 1 Samuel 18:14-15, that as David behaved wisely, his life was preserved; even King Saul was afraid of him because God was with him.

Now, how does Wisdom Preserve Life?
1. Wisdom invites the Presence of God and invokes terror on the enemy
2. Wisdom brings deliverance while foolishness brings destruction. Most people are destroyed because of their lack of wisdom (Proverbs 28:26)
3. Wisdom prolongs life but foolishness shortens life
4. Wisdom is the answer to both adversaries and adversities

Wisdom Keys for Survival:
1. Watch your tongue (Proverbs 18:21)
2. Watch your thoughts (Proverbs 23:7)
3. Watch your life (1 Peter 3:10)
4. Be a blessing to your generation (Job 29:3-13)
5. Watch your company

YOUR DEDICATION AND YOUR WORSHIP

SCRIPTURE: ‘Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord and spake saying, I will sing unto the Lord for He has triumphed gloriously; the horse and its rider has been thrown into the sea.’ -  Exodus 15:1

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Out of the depth of dedication comes unusual worship.

Every fruit is determined by its source. Hence, when you see a mango fruit, you will automatically know that its source is a mango tree.

In the same manner, when you see a genuine worshipper, the source of that worship is genuine dedication to God. Out of the depth of dedication comes unusual worship.

Moses was one of the most dedicated persons in Scripture. Apart from being a prophet, he was also a singer, a worshipper and a song writer. He was so brutally dedicated to God that he was ready to go to hell if God did not save the children of Israel (Exodus 32:32).

How Do You Recognize A Real Worshipper?

1. A real worshipper places God above all. Ordinary people place self above God.
2. He esteems the Word of God as the final authority in all things. Ordinary people argue with the Word of God, but for genuine worshippers, the Word of God is final.
3. He exists under Divine instructions.
4. He exists with a stewardship mentality. It makes it easy for him to relinquish anything to God at any time.

Remember this: Out of the depth of dedication comes unusual worship.

Topic: OPEN HEAVENS

SCRIPTURE: The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. – Deuteronomy 2:12

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You are not permitted to experience wasted labour under open heavens.

From our anchor Scripture, we see that one of the major experiences that happen when the Heavens open is Supernatural abundance. God promised us in our anchor scripture that as we obey His laws, He will open His good treasure for us from Heaven and cause rain to fall in its season. He will overwhelm us with supplies that can make us lend unto nations and not borrow. He will also give us rain in our land and bless the works of our hands.

These are characteristics of Supernatural abundance that take place when the Heavens open:

1. Access to Divine treasures: This type of treasure holds more value than whatever you can access on earth. It is more valuable than human ability, wisdom and connection.

2. The release of the rain of abundance: Abundance comes when it is meant to come in its season

3. The release of the blessing on human effort: You are not permitted to bring forth for trouble. You are not permitted to experience wasted labour under open Heavens. You are not permitted to build and another inhabit under open Heavens.

4.The realm of the overflow: You exist in the realm of the overflow when what you have is more than enough for you.

Remember this: You are not permitted to experience wasted labour under open heavens.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Live in obedience to God and be established in His Will

2. Carry out Kingdom practices like tithing, giving offerings and seed sowing to release God’s abundance.

THE POWER OF HUMILITY

SCRIPTURE: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Humility is the doorway to true greatness and authority in life

A major virtue in the life of any child of God is humility. Humility is moderate or modest existence. It is the exaltation of, and alignment of God’s Will with one’s life. It is the focus and attention on inward qualities rather than outward vanities. A humble person is open to instruction and correction and easily submits with excitement.

What then is the power of humility?
1. Humility guarantees the privilege of Divine attention and answer to prayers. God will never turn a deaf ear on the humble.
2. Humility is the doorway to honour and dignity. It is existing with a difference in the midst of adversity.
3. Humility is the doorway to true greatness and authority in life.
4. Humility is the gateway to insight and revelation. The humbler you get, the deeper you see revelations and insight of the Word.

You can attain humility by doing the following:

a. Existing in His Presence
The Presence of God reveals the nothingness of man. A life of prayer, worship and communion keeps you with God and suffocates every form of pride and arrogance.

b. The maintenance of the correct mentality
This is living with the consciousness of the fact that you can do nothing without God.

FROM OBSCURITY TO LIMELIGHT

SCRIPTURE: And Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brethren, and the spirit of the lord came upon David from that day forward…. – 1 Samuel 16:13

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Great destinies are often raised out of obscurity; out of the background.

David is a character in the Bible who is worthy of emulation. The story of his life is filled with many lessons that we need to learn in order to successfully maximize our lives. God lifted him from the low level of life to the pedestal of generational authority.

Now, what lessons can we learn from the life of David?
1. Rejection is often the birthplace of distinction.
2. Victims of rejection become candidates for the Unction; the life of Joseph is also a case study of this.
3. Great destinies are often raised out of obscurity; out of the background.
4. The least wanted among men most times becomes the most needed by God.
5. Do not let rejection push you into desperation.
6. People tolerated by men are often celebrated by God.
7. People forgotten by men are remembered by God as long as they press into God
8. The world must stand on their feet for the man who has a stand with God.

FULFILLING VISION

SCRIPTURE: And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run that readeth it. – Habakkuk 2:2

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The action of service is the seed for the future; there is no wasted service.

Vision is the discovery of God’s agenda for a person’s life. It is arriving at the point where you know what to do with your life.

The challenge is that many people celebrate the possession of vision but never celebrate the realization of it.

Now, what are the steps to take in order not to just end at celebrating the possession of vision without celebrating the realization of it?

1. HAVE A PLAN: A person without plans is a failure in the making. A plan helps you measure progress; it helps you to know what is working and what is not working.

2. EMBRACE SERVICE: If you want your vision to become a reality, be given to service. While you wait for the fulfilment of God’s purpose, and even when you are fulfilling it; serve.

The action of service is the seed for the future; there is no wasted service.

What you make happen for others, God will make happen for you. Those who are too big to serve are too small to lead.

I decree today that as you serve God and humanity, you shall fulfil God’s purpose for your life and destiny, in Jesus’ Name.
