THE GOD OF VENGEANCE
SCRIPTURE: ‘For it is the day of the Lord's vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.’ – Isaiah 34:8.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: We serve a God who kills and makes alive.
It is important to note that our God is a loving God, full of mercy but also a God of vengeance. We serve a God who kills and makes alive (1 Samuel 2:6).
God deploys His vengeance against those who stands in His way or resist His children. For instance, He executed vengeance upon Pharaoh, king of Egypt (Exodus 14:28) who resisted the liberty of the children of Israel.
Now, what causes God to execute vengeance?
1. When His Word is being resisted or undermined by the enemy and their agents in the lives of His people.
God esteems His Word above His Name. So, He is ready to deploy His vengeance against anyone who tries to resist His Word concerning your life.
The Word of God says, “…with His stripes you are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5), so if a witch afflicts you with sickness, the witch is resisting God’s Word concerning your life and so, is set for death.
Today, I announce the confirmation of the burial of those resisting God’s Word concerning your life, in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this: we serve a God who kills and makes alive
