THE BREAD OF HEAVEN

SCRIPTURE: And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them corn of heaven. Man did eat angel’ food: he sent them meat to the full. – Psalm 78:24-25

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: the early hours of the morning are the times to access the Bread of Heaven.

Manna is referred to as “Bread of Heaven” (Psalms 105:40). It is also called “The angels food”. It is important to note that this bread was always gathered in the morning; the children of Israel were asked to gather the manna early in the morning. So, the early hours of the morning are the times to access the Bread of Heaven.

The Bread of Heaven as we know from the Scripture was not unaccompanied with positive significance or implication. The following are the implications of the Bread of Heaven:

1. Supernatural strength (Psalms 103:20, 105:37, 104:15): The Bread of Heaven gives Supernatural strength. There was none feeble person among those that ate it.
2. Supernatural health (Matthew 15:21-22, 26-28). Divine health is the bread of the children of heaven.
3. Fresh word (Matthew 4:4)
4. Supernatural supplies and sustenance (Matthew 6:11): The Bread of Heaven signifies supernatural supplies and sustenance.

Beloved, my counsel is for you to:
a.Ensure that you are diligent enough to gather this Bread (The Word of God) daily (Exodus 16:19-21). Remember, yesterday’s manna cannot handle today’s hunger.
b.Keep your early morning appointment with God because the Bread of Heaven is received early in the morning.

I prophesy a fresh hunger for God and His Word in your life today in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: the early hours of the morning are the time to access the Bread of Heaven.

1. Pray for fresh hunger for God’s Word
2. Make up your mind to study God’s Word daily.

PRAYER: Baptize me LORD, with fresh hunger for You and Your Word. Help me LORD, to treasure Your Word more than anything else in Jesus’ Name.

STANDING BY GRACE

SCRIPTURE: Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. – Romans 5:1-2.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Grace is the outcome of Christ’s ordeals and sacrifice at Calvary.

There are two vital things that make people stand in life – Grace and faith in God.
Grace is a vital tool that makes the child of God to stand on a solid ground; outside grace, it is impossible for a child of God to stand.

What then is grace? Grace is God’s riches at Christ’s expense. This means that grace is what God sacrificed Christ to make available to us. God’s grace is designed to cover our errors and colour our efforts for maximum results and outstanding existence. The grace of God, therefore, amplifies our strength and downplays our weakness.

Grace is also seen as unmerited favour.
Now, in what situation does the grace of God help us to stand?
1.Grace make us stand in uprightness (Matthew 24:12, Titus 2:11-12)
2.Grace makes us stand in the faith, making us not to give up on God. (1 Corinthians 16:13).
3.Grace makes us stand when all others are on the floor (Psalms 91:7-8). It is grace that makes your case different.
4.Grace makes us stand in the face of enemy confrontation (Ephesians 6:10-13).
It is not by strength or willpower that one escapes the traps and confrontations of the enemy, but by grace. Grace, therefore, is the secret of Supernatural exemption and miraculous deliverance from troubles.

Grace is accessible by relevant keys. One of the keys to accessing grace is faith (Romans 5:2). Faith is a trigger for the release of grace.

Remember this: Grace is the outcome of Christ’s ordeals and sacrifice at Calvary.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Ask God for the manifestation of abundant grace in your life.
2. Deploy the grace of God on your life for effective kingdom service.

PRAYER: O LORD, I ask for greater dimension of Your grace. Help me to connect with Your grace released on Calvary, in Jesus’ Name.

GRACE FOR ALL SUFFICIENCY

SCRIPTURE: And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: - 2 Corinthians 9:8.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The grace and glory of God are the containers of the riches of God.

The grace of God is the secret of all sufficiency. God’s grace is the secret of Supernatural supplies. That is why grace has the capacity to terminate insufficiency in life.

However, people are at different levels or stages of supply depending on their level of grace. The following are the six (6) categories of people in terms of supply:
(a)Never enough (b) Barely enough (c) Just enough (d) More than enough(e) far more than enough (f) the overflow.
The grace and glory of God are the containers of the riches of God. (Philippians 4:19; Psalms 84:11, Ephesians 2:7)

What then are the necessities of resources or Divine supplies?
1. Resources, wealth and abundance give you the capacity to worship and serve God without the distraction of need or lack (Psalm 25:27, Joel 2:25-26). Wealth arrests shameful existence. In the spirit of man, satisfaction releases automatic joy and celebration.

2. Supplies or resources give us the capacity to advertise the goodness of God to the world and bring glory to His Name. (Isaiah 61:9). Results are more evangelistic than words.

3. Resources give us the capacity to invest into the cause of the Kingdom (Zech. 1:17, Matthew 6:19-20). When people are interested in Kingdom vision, then their struggles cease.

How do we access resources?  Resources are accessed by grace, grace for Supernatural supplies. And this grace for supernatural supplies is tied to the grace to release (2 Corinthians 9:6-8). The grace to release, therefore, is the pull of the unction to receive.

Remember this: The grace and glory of God are the containers of the riches of God.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Ask God for the grace to release in order to receive.
2. Make up your mind to release especially for kingdom projects.

PRAYER: O LORD, I ask for the grace to release what You have given me. Help me LORD, not to be indifferent to the cause of Your Kingdom in Jesus’ Name.

THE IMPACT OF PRAISE

SCRIPTURE: And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth forever. – 2 Chronicles 20:21.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Praise invites Divine participation in battle.

There was a time that the Moabites and the Ammonites rose against the children of God in the Kingdom of Judah under the leadership of King Jehoshaphat. Though King Jehoshaphat feared greatly, he set himself to seek the Lord. He prayed to God, consulted the people and appointed singers to praise God in the midst of the battles, so God gave them victory by turning the enemies against themselves.

That means when you praise God, especially in the midst of battles or daring circumstances, you expect the following to happen:
1.Praise invites Divine participation in battle.
2.Praise sets confusion in the camp of the enemy.
3.Praise causes the enemies to fight against each other and finish each other.
4.Praise guarantees total elimination of the forces of the enemy.
5. Praise turns the valley of battle into the valley of blessing.
Beloved, when you make up your mind to praise God in any current battle of your life, the same shall be your experience.

What then should be our focus in praise?

Our praise should be focused in:
a.Who God is
b.What God has done
c.What God will do

By the apostolic mantle over my life, I decree that from today, as you make God the focus of your praise despite any battle in your life, your valley of battle shall be turned to the valley of blessing in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Praise invites divine participation in battle.

1. Ask God to baptize you with the garment of praise.
2. Make up your mind to praise God despite the battles of life.

THE MYSTERY OF THE MORNING – POWER TO BE REMEMBERED BY GOD

SCRIPTURE: And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord…  And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham. – Genesis 19:27, 29.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If God hears your voice in the morning; you will see His power in the day.

Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that Abraham got up early in the morning to stand before God. The result of that was: later in the day, God remembered him. This means that, those who know how to rise up early on the morning are remembered later in the day by God. If God hears your voice in the morning, you will see His power in the day.

Now, what happens when God remembers a person?
1. Termination of affliction (Genesis 8:1): Noah was delivered from the flood but it seems he was in captivity until God remembered him. And when God remembered him, his affliction was terminated.

2. Termination of reproach (Genesis 30:22; 1 Samuel 1:19): The reproach of barrenness was dealt with when God remembered Sarah and Hannah. So, when God remembers you, every reproach in your life will be arrested. I prophesy that God will deal with every reproach in your life today, in Jesus’ Name.

3. Divine intervention in battle (Number 10:9): Divine remembrance saves and delivers one in battle.

4. Divine visitation: Divine encounter happens when God remembers a man. This encounter comes with elevation, transformation and direction. (Acts 10:4-5).

5. Deliverance of loved one (Exodus 2:24): When God remembers you; He also remembers and delivers your loved ones.

By the apostolic and prophetic mantle on my life, I prophesy on you that your time of remembrance by God has come today.

Remember this: If God hears your voice in the morning, you will see His power in the day.

1. Make up your mind to conquer sleep and rise up early in the morning to pray.
2. Ask God to remember you and give you Divine Encounters and Visitations.

YOUR PRAISE AND YOUR DEDICATION

SCRIPTURE: But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. – John 4:23

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Dedicated people seek God’s Face and not just His Hands.

God created us to praise Him and also to be dedicated to Him. Dedication to God is a form of praise. However, there is something vital about the praise of dedicated people we need to learn. Two outstanding key thoughts about dedicated people are:

1. Dedicated people are quality Worshippers. Most people praise God when it is convenient or when something happens but dedicated people are unconditional and quality worshippers of God. Paul the Apostle is definition of dedication. He lived a life of praise consistently (Philippians 4:4). He praised and worshiped God always. This was why he said in everything, give thanks (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Paul lived a life that is practically inseparable from praise.

2. There is a difference between the praise of dedicated people and the general people. Dedicated people seek God’s Face and not just His Hands. Most people look for God for what they can get from Him; they want God’s products and not God’s Presence. Many people will not come to church if there is no miracle but dedicated people seek God’s Person. For dedicated people, God is the main Pursuit, miracles are by-product. They seek the Face of God.

The outcome of dedicated worship is that dedicated people end up as profitable citizens of the planet earth. That will be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Dedicated people seek God’s Face and not just His Hands

1. Make up your mind to be brutally dedicated to God.
2. Praise God from the heart and not just the lips.

THE PROMISE OF FAITH

SCRIPTURE: For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God you might receive the promise. – Hebrews 10:36

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Where faith is absent the inheritance belonging to people eludes them.

Faith in times of delay supplies the patience to wait for your change. It is faith that makes you to say, “The vision is for an appointed time; though it tarries, I will wait for it.” It is faith that says, “Even if I fall down, I’m rising up again. If I try and fail, it must work out in the end.” It is faith that makes you keep on keeping on.

But where faith is absent, the inheritance belonging to people eludes them.

When my wife and I were growing up in ministry, many of the people we knew were driving all manner of expensive cars.  Though we were both medical doctors who abandoned medical practices for full time ministry, at that early stage of our ministry, we could not afford such. And we began to wonder: “What are they doing that we are not doing? How are they doing it?” I preached out my life and tithed, but I wasn’t seeing the things I ought to see. Then people were giving all manner of testimonies about receiving gifts of cars but I did not see anything. I just calmed myself down.
But unknown to me, some of those cars were bought on hire purchase by their owners who claimed to have either received them as gifts or bought them outright with their money.

Beloved, when the harvest began to flow, it was a downpour, unending downpour. The fact is that truth will overtake lie eventually.

Remember this: Where faith is absent the inheritance belonging to people eludes them.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Decide to do everything in God’s way; if it is not God’s way, it can never have a good result.
2. Don’t envy anybody’s prosperity because you do not know how they arrived there.

PRAYER: Lord, I hope only in Your provision. Grant me the courage to maintain faith until I see results, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: THE EMBARRASSMENT OF FAITHLESS-NESS

SCRIPTURE: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. – Romans 5:5

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There is nothing as disastrous as working out alternatives to the plan of God.

What happens when faith is absent in the life of a person? In the absence of faith, people work out alternatives to God’s plans. In their faithless desperation, they can say things like: “If God is delaying in giving me a husband, then I get myself a husband. If God is delaying in giving me a job, I will do whatever it takes to get myself a job like others.”

But there is nothing as disastrous as working out alternatives to the plan of God. Abraham worked out an alternative to the promise of God when there was a delay in the birth of Isaac and that brought forth Ishmael. Everybody in the world is still being affected negatively from that transaction.

A pastor once met me some time ago and said, “I have done everything I needed to do and yet church is not growing. If God does not help me, I’m going to find myself a help anywhere.” He continued, “I went to Bible school, and it looks like they did not teach us everything, because I have applied everything they taught us in the Bible school, yet nothing is working. If God does not help me, I am going to find myself power from anywhere.” That was really unfortunate!

Beloved, there is no alternative to the plan of God. But out of impatience, people embarrass themselves with disastrous alternatives. But that will not be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: There is nothing as disastrous as working out alternatives to the plan of God.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Make up your mind never to give up on God.

2. Sincerely apply for daily grace to remain faithful despite delays.

PRAYER: Lord, I know that Your intervention in my life can never be late. Help me to remain faithful until my change comes, in Jesus’ Name.

THE NECESSITY OF FAITH

SCRIPTURE: For without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. - Hebrews 11:6

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It takes the twin of faith and patience to inherit our promises in God

From our anchor Scripture, we see that the subject of faith is very crucial to every child of God. Its position on the subject of faith is devoid of any ambiguity – the just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38; Habakkuk 2:4).

The fact that this Scriptural provision about faith is echoed in many Verses of the Bible lends credence to the absolute necessity of faith to the survival of the Christian. In the mouth of two or three witnesses, the Scripture says every word shall be established (Mathew 18:16). We are having four witnesses in one subject – the just shall live by faith. That is to say, the just could die without faith. It also means that the life-wire of the just is his faith.

Faith is also necessary in supplying us patience in times of delay. For instance, you are expecting to get married or expecting the fruit of the womb and there seems to be an unending delay; faith supplies you the patience that you need to wait for your appointed time for Divine Visitation and Intervention. In times of delay, faith supplies the patience that is needed to wait for your change. It supplies the patience needed for that change to come that must come.

I prophesy the spirit of faith on you today, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: It takes the twin of faith and patience to inherit our promises in God

1. Take time to work on your faith.
2. Appreciate the place of patience in the work of faith in your life.

PRAYER: Lord, baptize me with the spirit of faith and patience in order to see more results in my walk with You, in Jesus’ Name.

STRATEGIES FOR ANSWERED PRAYERS

SCRIPTURE: And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall be no dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. – 1 Kings 17:1

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Boldness in prayer is not possible where righteousness is absent.

The expected outcome of every prayer is Divine intervention. However, there is the possibility of unanswered prayer. Some people prayed without answer and wondered why God refused to intervene.

The reason is that there are basic requirements for answered prayers. The following are some of such requirements:

1. A Clear Conscience: Maintain a clear conscience that is devoid of offence before God and man. James 5:16 says, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” You see, it is not the prayer of everybody that “availeth” much. Righteousness is a guarantee of answered prayer. Boldness in prayer is not possible where righteousness is absent.

2. The Full Assurance of Faith: Maintain a full assurance of faith. James 1:6-7 admonishes us to ask in faith without wavering. Whatever you are asking God for; ask in faith, nothing wavering. When you waver in prayers, you cannot receive anything from God. To waver in doubt is to wallow in defeat. It is not possible to experience an answered prayer where doubt is present. Beloved, understand that nothing can be received from God on the ground of doubt.

3. The Attitude of Helplessness: Maintain the attitude of helplessness and humility before God in prayer. God will never look at the direction of the proud (Isaiah 57:15).

Receive the grace to prevail in prayer today in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Boldness in prayer is not possible where righteousness is absent

1. Strive to maintain peace at all cost; it is a condition for answered prayers.
2. Make a conscious effort to increase your faith in order to receive from God.

WHY YOU NEED TO PRAY

SCRIPTURE: And he spake a parable unto them to this end that men ought always to pray and not to faith. – Luke 18:1

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Watchfulness in prayer prevents a life from descending into sudden inexplicable battles.

When the purpose or value of a thing is not known, a person would be grudgingly and unenthusiastically involved in it. So it is with prayer; those who do not know the value of prayer pray with much reluctance and struggle. But when the purpose is known it becomes a delight.

Now why is prayer necessary? What is the purpose of prayer?
1. Prayer is a key to courage, determination and resilience: Luke 18:1 (The Amplified Version) says: “Men ought always to pray and not to turn cowards.” That is to say, men ought always to pray and not to give up; they ought always to pray and not to lose heart.
To be wakeful and watchful in prayer is to avert surprise attack from the enemy. It prevents a person from being taken by surprise by the enemy. Matthew 13:24-25 says that when men slept the enemy sowed tares. Watchfulness in prayer prevents a life from descending into sudden inexplicable battles.

2. Prayerfulness impacts the consciousness of Divinity: In 1 Kings 17:1 Elijah said, “Before God whom I stand, there shall be no rain or dew…” He was a man of prayer and so he had a stand with God. Prayerfulness makes a person to live in the consciousness of the nearness of God.

THE REWARD OF DEDICATION

SCRIPTURE: Then this Daniel was preferred above the president and princes, because an excellent spirit was in, and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. – Daniel 6:3

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When a person has one identity in church and another outside the church, he has a character infirmity.

Every dedication to God and His service attracts rewards in life. Like victory in a secular contest attracts a prize, dedication attracts rewards. One of such rewards is the fulfilment of visions and aspirations.

God may have revealed to you that you have a great destiny like that of Joseph, which is the reason the devil is fighting you. For instance, you are serving God but you do not have a place to sleep. But even though you may not have a place to lay your head today, God is telling you that you are going to build estates for widows and orphans someday.

Again, you are faithfully serving God yet you are struggling for means of transport to go to church. But God is showing you that you are going to buy buses to transport people to crusades and churches.

As you serve God dedicatedly despite setbacks and confrontations, a time will come when the vision and aspirations of your heart come to pass. While Joseph was in the prison, he was busy representing God, interpreting people’s dreams and that assignment brought about the fulfilment of his own vision.

Get ready because the stage is set for what God told you many years ago to come to pass. Your dedication despite opposition will guarantee your position in the face of your enemies.

TRIUMPHING IN TRIALS

SCRIPTURE: And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. – Mark 4:37.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: No matter your travail today, if you remain connected to God, you must prevail.

Every great destiny faces the storms of life. When the devil perceives that you have a great future, he arranges a great storm along your way. The disciples of Jesus encountered a storm from our anchor Scripture above because they decided to cross over to the other side.
Now, what is the reason behind the storms of life?

It is to make you lose your stand, and surrender your focus on God. For instance, when Peter was confronted with the storm, he lost his focus on Jesus and began to sink. The storms of life are orchestrated by the enemy to shift our focus and attention from God.

A storm may come in form of an organized accusation and opposition for your refusal to do evil, take a bribe or yield to other forms of compromise. You may be denied promotion in the office for refusing to have an immoral affair with your boss. People may refuse to assist you just because you refused to stop going to church. These are examples of confrontations by the enemy to make you abandon your faith.

Beloved, no matter your travail today, if you remain connected to God you must prevail. You might be facing a situation of prolonged battle: you just came out of a pit, but before you realized your freedom, behold, another pit! But I prophesy upon your life today that He who brought you out yesterday shall bring you out today.

Remember this: No matter your travail today, if you remain connected to God, you must prevail.

TOPIC: DEDICATION DESPITE DISTRACTION

SCRIPTURE: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword…nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us – Romans 8:35, 37

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God created us to be fully dedicated to Him.

It is important to note that Dedication is part of God’s requirement for an acceptable service in His kingdom. God created us to be fully dedicated to Him.

However, there are distractions when one decides to dedicate himself to God. For example, when everything around you wants to make you stop going to church, praying, or worshipping God; at such a time, dedication to God becomes very challenging.

Do we really need to be dedicated to God at difficult or trying times? Of course we do because it is actually at the time of need or danger that we really know what a person actually stands for.

Distractions could come by way of an orchestrated human resistance and antagonism for your refusal to be ordinary or as a resistance targeted at the abortion of your destiny.

Now, what do you do in times of accusations and oppositions?

1. Treasure the Presence of God above the pressures of life, never let go. Here is the point: keep yourself in His presence despite the pressure.

2. Refuse to bow to depression. Joseph refused to bow to depression; he was busy making people excited, interpreting their dreams.

I prophesy to you: it doesn’t matter what you are going through, you are coming out a champion of faith, in Jesus’ Name!

Remember this: God created us to be fully dedicated to Him.

In other words, a company refers to one’s associates or group of friends.    Your company wields significant influence on your life and destiny. The company you keep determines your destiny; who you company with determines what accompanies you; who you follow determines what follows you; who surrounds you determines what you can survive.    Your environment is also a key to your placement in life and destiny. It refers to the sights and sounds that you see and hear consistently, the people in your life, and their influences, etc. Your environment determines your attainment in life. That is to say, if your environment is not correct, the outcome of your life cannot be correct.   Be conscious of your company and your environment; they affect your journey in life. For instance, for as long as the wise men who saw the star of Jesus at His birth followed the star, it led them. But the moment they went into the house of Herod, they lost sight of  the star, and Herod began to seek the child in order to kill Him.    Never make a stopover at the house of “Herod” on your journey of destiny. There are so many ‘Herods’ around your life and their agenda is to kill your star. They will never succeed in Jesus’ Name!   Remember this: Your company determines your destiny; your association determines your acceleration.   ASSIGNMENT (S):  1.  THE ATTITUDE OF SERVICE
 SCRIPTURE: “So Joseph found favour in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority” – Genesis 39:4  

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Do not struggle for status; struggle for service and service will give you status.

 The word ‘service’ implies the act of going out of your way as the case may be to be useful to someone or an organization in achieving or satisfying their desired needs.  

It is an established fact that leaders are processed in the school of service. Until you have served successfully, you cannot lead effectively.  The art of leadership is learnt in the school of service. Service, therefore, is what makes leaders. 

  When you assist others to see the fulfilment of their visions, God will assist you in the fulfilment of your vision. For instance, Joseph interpreted dreams for the butler and the baker, and the outcome was that God interpreted his own dream and brought it to pass.  

It was Zig Ziglar who said, “You will get all you want in life, if you help other people get what they want.” That is to say, you will get anywhere you want to get in life if you help other people get to where they want to be in life. And it is possible where some people want to reach is not as far as where you want to reach.  

You are looking for fifty million Naira to handle a project while someone is looking for fifty thousand Naira; assist him with the fifty thousand Naira. When God sees that He will say, “You assisted him with fifty thousand Naira? I will help you with fifty million Naira”. HALLELUIAH!

Remember this: Do not struggle for status; struggle for service and service will give you status. 

 ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Make yourself available to serve in any capacity.
2. Make service a lifestyle.

Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament” – Genesis 1:7-8   THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The future is never in view for a plan-less person.   Planning can be seen as the map of life’s achievable goals. Planning makes vision, work, and assignment easy to achieve.    Planning is never unaccompanied with products. Below are the products of Planning:   1. A plan gives you what to pursue:  It is planning that shows you what to pursue. It shows priorities, it shows what is crucial to your vision as well as the things you will have to do to bring about results.   There is a Pareto principle that says, “80% of your result is tied to 20% of your activities”. That is, of everything you do in life, only 20% of it will give you 80% of result. The meaning is, 80% of what most of us do will not produce any result, only 20% will give us 80% of the result we need. Planning, therefore, is locating that 20% that will give you the 80% result in life.   

2. A plan helps you to measure progress: It helps you to know what is working and what is not working; it separates what is working from what is not working.   Beloved, I have realized that the wonders of God happen in response to order in man. In other words, order is the foundation for wonder.

The equation is: Solid Vision + Good plan + Accurate order = Tangible success.   Remember this: the future is never in view for a plan less person.  

ASSIGNMENT (S): 
1. Refuse to live a disorganized life. 
2. Apply this word to your life.

HAVE A PLAN

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There can be no future without a plan. No progress without a plan and no success without a plan.  

A plan is a detailed arrangement for something you want to do in future. It is specifically a well-defined course of action.   It has been said that those who fail to plan have planned to fail. That is why anytime you see a plan-less person you are face-to-face with a failure in the making. It is not only crucial to have a vision, but also necessary to have a plan towards its fulfilment.  

The question here is; what does Planning do?   A plan breaks down vision into achievable goals and targets: Plan is what says, “I want my business to grow to a point where I can realise twelve million Naira in earnings per year. That means I should earn at least a million Naira every month to achieve this target.” That is planning. A plan like this is usually broken down into weekly and daily targets for it to be achievable. You see, it is planning that breaks down vision into achievable goals and targets!  

Many times a vision can be too vast to comprehend all at once. When you look at what God has said and what is in your mind, you will realise that it requires a step-by-step approach to reach the ultimate destination. That is planning!   Beloved, if the top must be reached, then planning must be in view.  

Welcome to the Journey of strategic planning for a successful destiny!

Saturday, 12 September 2015 THE WORKS OF PATIENCE SCRIPTURE: But let patience have her perfect works that you may be perfect and entire wanting nothing. - James 1:4.   THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Impatience is the ruin of destiny. To try to beat God’s time is to be set for a disaster.   Patience is the ability to stay calm in the face of delays, challenges or controversies. It is also the capacity to wait on the Lord despite setbacks; the ability to trust God even when the reason does not present itself.    It has been confirmed that those who wait on God never waste in life; they that trust in God never rust in Life. Now, for every God-ordained vision, there is a God-ordained timing for that vision or assignment to be fulfilled. So, patience is the vehicle for the correct timing for the fulfilment of vision.   One of the works of patience in our lives is that it delivers us from the arrangement of alternatives. Impatience on the other hand can bring the worst out of a situation. Impatience makes people work out alternatives to God’s perfect plans. And alternatives are the ruins of destiny. That thing that is not the plan of God for your life has the capacity to ruin your destiny.    Any alternative the devil is offering you is a shadow compared to what is ahead of you in the plan of God. Despise the alternatives and go for reality, the purpose of God. Be patient with God, for the reality is on its way coming. It shall surely come to pass.  

Remember this: impatience is the ruin of destiny. To try to beat god’s time is to be set for a disaster.

A LIFE OF STRATEGY

SCRIPTURE: The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city” – Ecclesiastics 10:15.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Those who think do not sink; those who think cannot stink.

Strategy, simply, is the process of planning or putting a plan into operation in a skillful way. Strategy also implies putting your mind to work.

It may interest you to know that nothing works out when the mind is not at work. The reason a mad man is not employable or cannot vote or be voted for is because his mind is not working.

The quality of your mentality determines the dignity of your destiny. The truth of the matter is, those who think do not sink; those who think cannot stink.

Beloved, let’s have a view of some of the things that strategy can do for a person.

1.Strategy eliminates struggles: The shortage of strategy is the reason for the abundance of struggles in life. That is, where strategy is lacking struggles continue; and knowing the right strategy for executing a task eliminates sweat. Strategy, therefore, eliminates sweats and struggles in life.
You may have a call to go into full time ministry, business etc. The call may be genuine but it cannot be as wonderful as when strategy is employed and the know-how of it is known.

2.Strategy expedites success: Strategy fast-forwards success, it expedites, accelerates and facilitates success.
There is a strategy behind every successful venture in life. Every successful marriage, for instance, involves the coming together of a strategic man and a strategic woman. People who put their minds to work make their homes work.

Beloved, the summary is, nothing is permitted to be successful until someone has decided to be strategic.

Remember this: Those who think do not sink; those who think do cannot stink.

THE CONTENT OF THE BLESSING

SCRIPTURE: “Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them, The LORD bless thee, and keep thee” Numbers 6:23-24.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Access to the blessing equals access to the contents of the blessing.

The blessing of God is the sum total of the goodness of God. It is the container of the favour and the glory of God. That is to say, to be blessed is to be favoured by God.

The blessing of God is an embodiment of unquantifiable treasure and immeasurable riches. Below are the contents of the blessing:

1.The Power unto success and progress in life: The blessing imparts a man with the power to succeed. It is the empowerment that deletes failure and arrests stagnation.

2.Divine favour: The blessing triggers the release of favour; and favour will do for you what money cannot do. The blessing kills every trace of disfavour, rejection and misfortune in a person’s life.

3.The release of destiny and purpose: The blessing releases people into their destinies and purposes. It pushes a man to fulfil his purpose on earth. A blessed man is not permitted to miss his purpose in life.

The blessing also releases hidden and inherent potentials and giftings. That is, those things inside of you that you are not aware of are pulled out by the blessing.

Beloved, do not struggle for money, fame or position. Just settle for the blessing of God; it is more than enough for you.

I prophesy to you today that the days of your disfavour are over forever. I provoke and invoke the blessing of God upon your life, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: access to the blessing equals access to the content of the blessing.

Wednesday, 09 September 2015 RISING AGAIN SCRIPTURE: For there is hope of a tree if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease – Job 14:7   THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You can expect rising again even if your life is down or broken.   Some time ago, I watched a documentary about the Kalahari Desert. It featured the changes that took place in the desert immediately after a rainfall.   Previously, the desert was completely dry with very little or no trace of life at all. But as soon as the rain began to fall, I was completely amazed at what I saw. What I had neither seen nor anticipated before began to happen: plants literally, ‘miraculously’ sprouted out of the dry earth within seconds or minutes.  Some of them shot out into little shrubs literally within the viewing time. Animal life also emerged in every direction. Frogs practically appeared out of nowhere.    I then realized how easy it is to rise again when the right atmosphere and conditions are  available.    It doesn’t matter how dry or dead a person’s life or situation may be, it can spring up into full bloom, when the right atmosphere and conditions are in place.   What do you do to connect with the power to rise again? 1. Do not lose faith in God’s ability to raise you up. 2. Always be in touch with the Presence of the Lord. 3. Tuesday, 08 September 2015 THE DELIVERANCE POWER OF VISION SCRIPTURE: Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. - Proverbs 9:18.     THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To visualize the future is to overcome the present.   We are in a season when there is an escalation of affliction. satan is obviously doing a lot of overtime. No wonder, there are diversities of afflictions and diseases: cancers, organ diseases, HIV and AIDS, etc. But by the power in the Blood of Jesus, they shall not come near you and your loved ones. You shall escape the calamity of this age in Jesus’ Name.    Now, how do we escape the forces of disease, destruction or death?   Avoid the Spell of Visionless-ness   From our anchor scripture, we see that where there is no vision, the people perish. Vision, therefore, is what defines your reason for living, and having a reason to live is what guarantees your survival.   What man sees determines what God can give (Genesis 15:13). So, what you see is what you get; if you see life, God gives life, and if you see otherwise, then you leave God without an option.      Sicknesses, most times, are not what kill people but visionless-ness. Visionless-ness plus sickness equals destruction. So, if any affliction wants to kill you, you can kill it with vision; if there is a cancer that wants to kill you, you can kill that cancer with vision.   Remember this: To visualize the future is to overcome the present.    ASSIGNMENT (S): 1.  Monday, 07 September 2015 YOUR HEART AND YOUR FAITH SCRIPTURE: And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear… But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. - Luke 8:8,15    THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The guilt of sin chokes the Word of God and faith.    Faith is a living seed that grows; it has life and that life has the ability to grow (Matthew 17:20). It has been confirmed that a good seed in the wrong environment cannot survive. It doesn’t matter how good the seed is, (including the seed of faith) it cannot survive in a wrong environment. So, faith grows and the growth of faith, like that of other seeds, is determined by its environment.    Now, what is the environment of faith? The heart of man is the environment (soil) for the growth of faith (Mark 16:14 and Luke 8:15).   There are two characteristics of a good heart that support the growth of faith, and they are:  a) A good heart is a guilt-free heart. It is a heart that is not corrupted or defiled by sin, a heart that is not hardened by sin. Sin indeed, hardens the heart. So, if you want your faith to grow, you must keep your heart free of sin. You must refuse to live in the realm of unconfessed sins. The guilt of sin chokes the Word of God and faith.   b) A good heart is a teachable, humble and a receptive heart. A person who is arrogant, closed in, and claims to know everything is not open to God, or open to instructions. Such a person will never grow in faith (James 1:21). Faith belongs to men that are permanently hungry for the truth.   Remember this: The guilt of sin chokes the Word of God and faith.   ASSIGNMENT (S): 1. Guard your heart with all diligence. 2. The Church and us

It's time to stop speaking ill of the church. The root meaning of “church” is not that of a building, but of people. You and I make up the church and until we really get that understanding, we will continue to miss the real message. when we say the church is bad and evil, we are inadvertently calling ourselves bad and evil. Let us speak and act the good we want to see happen. 

Matthew 7:4-5 "Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' and behold, the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. Its easier to point the accusing fingers to others than actually looking inwards to know where we are going wrong.Can we quit noting and recounting the perceived evil ways of others and work on making ourselves the bride that Jesus will be proud of.  "That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish Eph 5:27" shows who Christ is coming for.

THE BLESSING OF A SPIRITUAL FATHER

SCRIPTURE:”……Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying………” – Numbers 6:23

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To be without a prophet is to be without a profit and to be without a Pastor is to be without a pasture.

A Blessing can be defined as a Supernatural empowerment unto progress. In other words, it is a situation where biological parents, an ordained priest or God Himself directly invokes and bestows Divine help upon a person.

Beloved, it may interest you to know that the major duty of a priest is to bless the people on behalf of God. A spiritual father, a priest or a pastor is a blessing channel, a blessing transmitter to the people. That is why, to be without a prophet is to be without a profit and to be without a Pastor is to be without a pasture.

Below are the examples of a few persons in the Scriptures who released blessings on their children and generations:

Jacob gathered his children in Genesis chapter 49, and released blessings on them and told them the things they were to expect in their later days.

Moses, before he died, blessed the children of Israel; he released Divine help on them for their journey to the land of Canaan.

So, a real man of God is a ‘blesser’, a blessing agent. To have a contact with a real father or pastor is to have contact with the blessing. Your next level in life is possibly tied to your contact with your prophet.

I prophesy to you today by the apostolic and prophetic mantle on my life that every ancestral curse working against your life is broken. I decree that the blessing of the LORD swallows the curses on your life in Jesus’ Name.  YOU ARE BLESSED!

Remember this: to be without a prophet is to be without a profit and to be without a pastor is to be without a pasture.

ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Make up your mind to submit to your spiritual father.
2. Do all it takes to remain connected to the pastor, priest, prophet or Spiritual father God has placed over your life.

CHARACTER INSURANCE

SCRIPTURE: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. – Matthew 5:14-16

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Holy Ghost is the sponsor of righteousness.

A person’s character is a major determinant of the degree of influence they can command in their generation. That is why a Christian is meant to be a standard-bearer, a road-pointer, and a pace-setter of his generation. We are created by God to show the world how to behave. We are meant to colonize the world by our standards. The reason our world is this degenerated is because most Christians are not setting the right standards.

Now, what do we do to ensure or maintain an upright character in a degenerated world such as this?

Be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Ghost is the Sponsor of righteousness (Romans 14:17). The Holy Ghost will give you peace, and supply you joy and righteousness.

So, anyone who knows how to fellowship with the Holy Spirit by praying in tongues abundantly or what I call “bereketeciously” (a Nigerian coinage; meaning plentifully) is a person whose character will be continuously moulded.

How does the Holy Spirit mould our character?

The Holy Spirit opens your eyes to insights in the scripture that can kill certain nature in you. The Holy Ghost brings about liberty from bondage and transformation of life (2 Corinthians 3:17). He delivers you from sinful habits like smoking, alcoholism, immorality, lying, bitterness, etc.

By the power of the Holy Spirit, I decree the breaking of every kind of spell or bondage over your life and destiny today, in Jesus’ Name.
 
Remember this: the Holy Spirit is the sponsor of righteousness.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Pray in the Holy Ghost abundantly.
2. Avoid anything that will defile your conscience.

THE NECESSITY OF PRAISE

SCRIPTURE: Who is like unto the, O lord, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? – Exodus 15:11

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When the praises of God are in your mouth, His Sword is in your hand.

Praise is a spiritual force that connects humanity to the wonders of God. It is a spiritual force loaded with spiritual products. A session of praise is not an entertainment session but a session of high spiritual activity with spiritual results.

Now, let us explore the necessity of praise.

1. A Key to Divine Health: Praise is a key to Divine health and vitality. In a world infested with affliction and all manner of missiles flying in the air; you need a therapy and medicine that is not physical, but spiritual. And that therapy and medicine is praise! (Proverbs 17:22). Praise imparts lives; it animates a person’s system with life. (Psalms 150:6).

That is, as long as you are ready to praise the Lord, you will be supplied the breath of life by Him.

2. A Weapon of Vengeance and Judgment Against the Enemy: Praise is a weapon of vengeance and judgement against the enemy. In Psalms 149:6, the Bible says ‘Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand…

You see, when the praises of God are in your mouth, His sword is in your hand. In 2Chronicles 20:22-23, when the Ammonites, the Edomites and the Moabites gathered against Israel, they (Israelites) began to praise God, and their enemies began to fight themselves.

So, your praise disarms and destroys the enemy and gives rise to your victory in battle.

Remember this: When the praises of God are in your mouth, His sword is in your hand.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Make praise a habit.
2. Whenever you are confronted, never forget to praise God; it is your weapon.
PRAYER: LORD, I receive the garment of praise, and as I praise You, let Your anger rest on my enemies, in Jesus’ Name.

AUTHORITY BIRTHS IMMUNITY

SCRIPTURE: God blessed Noah and his sons and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. – Genesis 9:1

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anyone positioned in authority by God is also allocated immunity by Him.

Authority is usually accompanied with immunity both in the physical and in the spiritual realms. That is why if God has placed a man in authority, no devil can displace him.

For instance, ambassadors who are members of the diplomatic community enjoy what is called diplomatic immunity. When someone challenges an Ambassador, he is challenging the nation the Ambassador represents.

As it is in the physical so it is in the spiritual because all truths are parallel. Anyone positioned in authority by God is also allocated immunity by Him.

If God has positioned you in your generation as an agent of his blessings and authority, there is something about you that scares evil people. There is something about you that witches and wizard cannot stand. The meaning of that is, when a man is in authority, what other people fear, fears him. Other people fear witches but witches fear you because there is something about you that makes them wee-wee without control (Luke 10:19).

 If there are people who are members of the occult in your family, neighbourhood, or workplace, after today, by virtue of Divine Immunity, the dread of you shall come upon them, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Anyone positioned in authority by God is allocated immunity by Him.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Acknowledge your authority as a believer.
2. Be conscious of the fact that you are fortified against the forces of darkness.

MAKE IT HAPPEN!

SCRIPTURE:
And Jabez called on the God of Isreal , saying ,
Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed , and enlarge my coast
and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest
keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted
him that which he requested. —1 Chronicles 4:10

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: What you don’t resist will persist.
It has been confirmed that nothing changes on its own.

Every change that is experienced in life is powered by a
force. Situations change when people decide to enforce
change.
That was why Jabez, from our anchor Scripture, did not sit
down and wait for things to change in his life. His life and
situation could not have changed, if he did nothing about it.

It was God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo, who said,’
What you don’t want, you don’t watch.’ I can imagine Jabez
telling himself, ‘I don’t want this miserable life, and I will not
watch it continue. I want the situations of my life to change
so I have to go to God.’
Please note this: What you don’t resist will persist; what you
don’t resist will remain.

What Jabez did was what Jacob also decided to do. When
Jacob saw his situation, he decided to pray about it and
fight it out, and eventually, he got a change of identity
(Genesis 32: 24) .

Beloved, you need a fighter spirit to change your destiny.
We are not going to come to a point where we give up for
the devil to have his way. No! You decide for things to
change, you pray about it, you fight it out, and then change
must come. Destiny changes when responsibility is
accepted.

I prophesy the fighter spirit into your life in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this:
What you don’t resist will persist.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Accept the responsibility of affecting a change in the
necessary area of your life.
2. Engage in warfare prayer to change your destiny.

GOD'S WORD – A ‘FAITH GROWER’

SCRIPTURE: All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. – John 1:2-5

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anywhere the revelation of the Word of God is available, faith is alive.

Every seed requires the right environment (the right soil, light, moisture and temperature) for growth. For instance, the seed (foetus) in the womb of a woman requires the right environment for growth. Just as every seed requires the right environment for growth, faith also requires the right environment to grow because faith is a seed (Matthew 17:20).

Now, what is the required environment for the growth of faith?

LIGHT!

Every seed needs light for growth. There is a reason why plants are green: Plants utilize the sunlight in a process called photosynthesis where chlorophyll is combined with light to give rise to carbohydrate and all that they synthesize. It is not possible for the grass to be green, fresh and alive without utilizing the sunlight.

Now, the light of faith is the revelation of God’s Word.  That means anywhere the revelation of the Word of God is available, faith is alive. If your faith must grow, it must receive constant ‘revelational’ light. Just like the plant cannot do without the sunlight, your faith cannot do without constant revelation of the Word of God because the Word is light (John 1:1-5 and Psalms 84:11).

God will give you light from His Word as you study your Bible from today, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Anywhere the revelation of the Word of God is available, faith is alive.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Identify areas of your life where you need light
2. Search for the light.
3. Absorb the light of God’s Word by praying in the Spirit and believing in it for the dispelling of darkness.

PRAYER: Lord, open my eyes; show me the light that will transform my life. Help me Lord, to behold wondrous things out of Your Word, in Jesus ‘Name.
