THE WORD OF GOD- THE FERTILIZER OF FAITH
Overview
SCRIPTURE: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anywhere the revelation of God’s Word is available, faith is alive.
Faith is a living seed that has the ability to grow (Luke 17:6). It has been proven that every seed requires the right environment for growth. In the same manner, faith requires the right environment for growth.
One of the right environments for the growth of seed is where light is available. Every seed needs sunlight for growth. Plants are green because they utilise the sunlight in a process called photosynthesis where carbon (iv) oxide, water, and chlorophyll are combined with sunlight to produce carbohydrate and oxygen. It is not possible for plants to be green and alive in the absence of sunlight.
In the same vein, faith is a living seed and the light of faith is the revelation of God’s Word. Anywhere the revelation of God’s Word is available, faith is alive. If your faith must grow, it must receive constant ‘revelational’ light. Just like plants cannot do without sunlight, faith cannot do without constant revelation of God’s Word.
So, if you desire to live in Divine health, graces, financial prosperity etc. as you study God’s Word, trust Him to give you light that will grow your faith in those aspects.
Remember this: Anywhere the revelation of God’s Word is available, faith is alive.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1.Study the Word of God daily to grow your faith.
2.Trust God for ‘revelational’ light as you listen to or study the Word of God.
3.Believe every Word God has spoken concerning your life; never doubt or analyse it.

THE REALITY OF ETERNITY
Overview
SCRIPTURE: But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Heaven is real! Hell is also real!
I heard a story from Kenneth E. Hagin; he said he had a cousin who got married to a man that hated everything about God. The man hated everything about church and pastors. A time came when the man suddenly felt sick and slipped into coma. After a while, he woke up. He saw the reality of hell while in coma, so he pleaded with his children to call anyone who knew anything about God for him. So they sent for Kenneth Hagin and he came to see the man on his sickbed but it was quite unfortunate that the man slipped back into unconsciousness again. The only way the man could express his experience while passing out was by shouting, ‘Heat! Fire! Darkness!’ Every attempt to bring him back to life was futile. He passed on to eternity in hell. He was looking for God at the wrong time.
Beloved, Heaven is real! Hell is also real! Many people are on their way to eternity in hell. So, it is a matter of urgency to go for the harvest of souls into God’s Kingdom.
Remember this: Heaven is real! Hell is also real!
ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Live ready.
2. Win at least a soul in a week.
3. Do not allow anything to kill your passion for evangelism.

THE NECESSITY OF SPIRITUAL FIRE
OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him:... And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty. 2 Kings 1:9-10
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Spiritual fire is the amplifier of voice.
From our anchor Scripture, we see that Elijah was a man on fire who could speak to any king on behalf of Heaven. In Bible days, there were people who spoke and determined the direction of a whole nation.
But today, we have very few Christians who can speak to our leaders or address the ills in our society. Why is it that people in positions of leadership, especially in politics do not call for a pastor or a child of God to find out his opinion about any step they want to take? It is because of the bankruptcy of spiritual fire! The shortage of fire is why the voices of many Christians are not heard by authorities, principalities or powers.
The condition of our generation needs voices like that of Elijah that will compel the attention of our generation to God. We do not need voices that are apologetic or voices begging for favour from people in power.
The acquisition of spiritual fire is a necessity because it guarantees audacity and authority. Spiritual Fire is the amplifier of voice. A person who is on fire is authorized to speak on behalf of Heaven.
Remember this: Spiritual fire is the amplifier of voice.
ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Maintain a permanent stand in God’s Presence.
2. Live a life of prayer.
3. Determine to enforce the order of God on earth.

THE SECRET OF SUPERNATURAL WEALTH
OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. Deuteronomy 8:18
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your root in God determines your riches on earth.
A search through the Scripture has confirmed that in every generation, the richest people were the children of God. In the generation of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Job and Solomon, nobody was wealthier than any of them.
The truth is, it is an aberration to creative agenda for the richest person on earth not to be a Holy Ghost-filled child of God because as far as God is concerned, the wealthiest people in every generation should come from the Church.
Without a doubt, there is nobody richer than God (Psalms 24:1, Haggai 2:8); and there is nobody that can make people rich like God. But the riches of God are sponsored by His principles. So, man must apply these principles in order for God to supply.
Now, one of the secrets of supernatural wealth is The Knowledge of God.
The knowledge of God is a secret of supplies from God (Daniel 11:32). The extent to which you know GOD is the extent to which you see GOOD. Financial strength is a function of spiritual depth. Your root in God determines your riches on earth.
Beloved, it is possible for God to make you rich but you must be rooted in Him.

1. Be desperate for God; study the Bible to know Him more.
2. Be a covenant practitioner; pay your tithe regularly and be generous.
3. Avoid a lifestyle of competition.

DEDICATION DESPITE DISTRACTION
OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years. Luke 1:6-7
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Divine visitation is waiting for you at your duty post in God’s House.
We live in a world where many people are addicted to pleasure and allergic to inconvenience. Many times, people serve God only when there is little or no pressure.
But I have discovered that dedication to God despite distraction is the most profitable form of dedication. Throughout the Scripture, we see people who were dedicated to God despite diverse challenges confronting their lives and they were not disappointed (Luke 13:10-13, Luke 1:5-17).
Anyone can serve God at ordinary times but it is in times of trials and challenges that we know what a person really believes in.
Now, one of the products of dedication despite distraction is Divine intervention at the place of your dedication.
In Luke 1:5-17, God saw Zachariah, who was childless and stricken in age, faithful at his place of assignment so God changed his story. The angel who visited Zachariah did not look for him at home but at the temple, his duty post. Divine visitation is waiting for you at your duty post in God’s House.
Beloved, diverse distractions of life like temptation, confrontation and accusation can challenge your dedication but remain steadfast in serving God and He will intervene in your situation.
Remember this: Divine visitation is waiting for you at your duty post in God’s House.
ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. If you have no duty post in God’s House, locate one and if you have one, remain steadfast.
2. Ignore every form of distraction at your place of dedication to God.
3. Be a source of encouragement to your brethren in God’s vineyard.

THE IMPACT OF FASTING
OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Isaiah 58:6
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Fasting strengthens a person for the battles of life.
Fasting is an act of willing abstinence or reduction from certain or all foods, drinks, or both, for a period of time. It is a spiritual exercise that subdues the flesh and fuels spiritual audacity. It is the practical manifestation of desperation; a desire on fire and a confirmation of self-insufficiency. Fasting loses its meaning when it is not accompanied by prayer and the study of God’s Word.
Now, let us look at one of the products of fasting: Supernatural strength.
The act of fasting is an impartation of strength. In Isaiah 40:31, the Bible says, ‘But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles…’
As the eagles renew their strength by waiting once in a year on top of a rock, so does a person build his spiritual ‘muscle’ by waiting on the Lord in the period of fasting and prayer.
Fasting strengthens a person for the battles of life. It positions a person in a place where he can boldly confront every witch or wizard. Fasting can turn a weak Christian into a strong Christian. It terminates struggles in prayer, studying the Bible, and worship.
Remember this: Fasting strengthens a person for life’s battle.
ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Engage in a fast at least once a week; always embark on periodic fasts.
2. Pray fervently and study the Word of God whenever you engage in a fast.

Fasting strengthens a person for the battles of life. It positions a person in a place where he can boldly confront every witch or wizard. Fasting can turn a weak Christian into a strong Christian. It terminates struggles in prayer, studying the Bible, and worship.
Remember this: Fasting strengthens a person for life’s battle.

THE SECRET OF DISTINCTION
OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: And the angel came in unto her and said, Hail thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee blessed art thou among women. Luke 1:28.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To fear God is to fare well in life.
The Glory of the Lord is a Divine seal of distinction upon the life of a man. It sponsors shining and guarantees an outstanding existence.
God’s seal of distinction is a distinguishing factor. That is why it is possible to be in the same environment but have different attainments in life. Jacob and Esau were products of the same conception and sucked the same breast, yet they ended differently in life. While Esau’s memory is nowhere to be found on earth, Jacob (Israel) is one of the most notable nations on earth today. That difference was a function of Divine seal of distinction.
One of the keys to distinction in life is THE FEAR OF GOD.
Beloved, if you want God to distinguish you in life, the fear of God is a vital key. In Luke 1:50, Mary told us one of the secrets of her distinction in her generation; she said, ‘And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.’
To fear God is to fare well in life. Also, to fear God is to go far in life. You cannot fear God and be stagnated in life.
Remember this: To fear God is to fare well in life.
ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Avoid a life of sin.
2. Determine to stand out in life.

THE SECRET OF DIVINE SPEED
SCRIPTURE: ‘And the Lord answered me and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it,’ Habakkuk 2:2-3
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Vision is behind the making of runners.
Speed is the rate at which someone or something moves or travels. It is the swiftness of action. In the journey of life, Divine speed is what defies the existence of friction and suspends the forces of delay.
By virtue of Divine speed, Joseph a prisoner, was made a Prime Minister overnight at the age of 30.
Behind every exploit in life are power-generating secrets. And what makes a person move ahead of those who moved before him is called unusual speed.
We are going to explore one of the secrets of unusual speed, and it is VISION FOR LIFE.
Vision is behind the making of runners. Joseph was a man of vision; he got unusual speed ahead of his brethren because he had vision for his life (Genesis 37-41). People who have vision are not walkers but runners and flyers. There are those who crawl and walk. There are others who run, or even fly (Isaiah 40:31). The difference is in the clarity of their vision. The clearer your sight; the faster your speed. It is those who see clearly that move speedily.
Remember this: Vision is behind the making of runners.
ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Live a life of vision.
2. Run with your vision. Refuse to be carried away by the distractions of life.

LACK OF PREPARATION - AN ENEMY OF VISION
OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel… For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not. Acts 7:23-25
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Vision without preparation equals frustration.
One of the things many people lose without knowing is their original vision, passion for God and for Kingdom assignment.
From our anchor Scripture, we see that Moses had the understanding of the calling of God at the age of forty; he knew that God was going to use him to bring Israel out of the land of Egypt, but by a series of event, Moses practically lost the vision. He literally turned his back on the assignment of his life and began to roam about visionlessly, keeping the flock of his father-in-law for forty years.
Now, what was behind Moses’ failure in his attempt to fulfil the vision he had?
One of the reasons that made Moses’ vision and passion to die was Lack of Preparation. Moses had the vision and not the preparation so he could not fulfil that vision in his first attempt (Exodus 2:11-15). Between every vision and its manifestation is preparation.
Beloved, if the call of God must produce results in your life, it must follow God’s process. Vision without preparation equals frustration. Where there is no training, there can be no reigning.
Remember this: Vision without preparation equals frustration.
ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Ask the LORD to show you the steps you need to take in order to fulfil your life’s assignment.
2. Avoid taking steps outside God’s direction.
3. Determine not to allow people to clap you into irrelevance; wait for Heaven to celebrate you at the end of your journey.

YOUR MENTALITY AND YOUR DESTINY
OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: ‘for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…’ Proverbs 23:7
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If it cannot cross your mind, it will never cross your life.
Sometime ago, God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo told a story of how he went with some people to Benin Airport in Nigeria to catch a flight to Lagos in order to meet up with their Sunday service. Before they got to the airport, the flight had taken off. At that moment, a man was at the tarmac about to fly to Lagos with his private jet and Bishop Oyedepo sent one of the men in his team to the man with the message: ‘Meet that man and tell him that we would like to join him to Lagos before our private jet arrives.’ And the man said, ‘Okay, if you are going to Lagos, come let us go.’
To Bishop Oyedepo, he was a private jet owner although it had not yet manifested. Today, what was on his mind is a reality.
If you cannot dream it, it will not come near you; if it cannot cross your mind, it will never cross your life. The thoughts of the successful are filled with achievements that are bigger than them.
Beloved, where you do not see yourself, you will never find yourself there.
Remember this: If it cannot cross your mind, it will never cross your life.
ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Picture how you want your future to be and work towards it.
2. Never allow your circumstance to define your thought pattern.
3. Review your vision for life daily.
