UPRIGHTNESS THROUGH DIVINE DIRECTION
SCRIPTURE: Then God said, "And now we will make human beings; they will be like us and resemble us. They will have power over the fish, the birds, and all animals, domestic and wild, large and small. – Genesis 1:26 (GNT).
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To be in touch with God is to be led away from unrighteousness.
From our anchor passage, it is clear to know that God’s intention for our lives is for us to be like Him. God created us in His image and His utmost desire is that we reflect His image on the earth.
One of this Divine natures is the nature of holiness (Matthew 5:48).
Righteousness is a department of Divinity. To be holy is to be like God.
It is important to know that Divine direction is the way of consecration (uprightness).
When God leads a man, He leads him on the path of righteousness (Psalms 23:3).
To be in touch with God is to be led away from unrighteousness. When you are in touch with God, you are delivered from any trap that can lead to your fall into sin or iniquity.
Divine direction is key to sanctification, purity and cleanliness of life. When God directs you in business, He will lead you away from the business that will take you to prison. When you allow God to direct you, He will lead you from relationships and connections that will implicate you.
Beloved, allow God to lead you in all areas of your life.

DILIGENCE- A PATHWAY TO AUTHORITY
SCRIPTURE: Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.’ – Proverbs 22:29
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Nothing can be glorious until someone becomes serious.
Today is a significant day in the history of our Nation, Nigeria. It is Democracy Day. And we are exploring ‘diligence’ as a major pathway to irresistible authority both in the physical and spiritual realms.
When we talk about diligence, we refer to persistent hard work, industriousness, earnestness, seriousness, doggedness, indefatigability, and effort. Diligence is a serious-minded approach to life. It is a necessity in every realm of life.
God’s handmaiden, Gloria Copeland once said, ‘There is no victory for the lazy spiritually.’ For instance, if a person is too lazy to pray, fast, or study the Bible, there can never be victory for such a person spiritually.
Now, take note of these key thoughts:
1. Diligence is the doorway to eminence and prominence in life, both spiritually and physically.
2. Hard work is a key to high flight. When you see a high flier in life, he or she is a hard worker.
3. Effort is the secret of effects. The quality of effort determines the intensity of effects.
4. Industry is the platform for authority. To be industrious is to be established in authority.
Remember this: Nothing can be glorious until someone becomes serious.

EXCELLENCE BEGETS PROMOTION
SCRIPTURE: Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. –Daniel 6:3
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Excellence makes it very easy for God to place His children at the top.
Excellence is the quality or state of being outstanding and superior. As a child of God, you should reflect excellence in all your endeavours because it is the nature of our Father.
Whatever will not be done excellently must be left out totally. Average input can never produce an excellent outcome. It is what you inject into life that determines what you eject out of life.
God is too just to place a mediocre person ahead of excellent people. And it does not matter even if the mediocre person claims to be a Christian. For instance, a person who claims to be a Christian may take a promotion examination with his unbelieving colleagues; if he fails the exercise and the unbelieving colleagues perform excellently, who do you think God will set above the other? God is not unjust!
In the days of Daniel, Daniel was better than everyone in the kingdom in every realm. That made it easy for God to take him to the top despite the fact that he was not a Babylonian by nationality. So, excellence makes it very easy for God to place His children at the top.

THE SECRET OF GODLY LIVING
SCRIPTURE: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory’ – 2 Corinthians 3:18
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Contact with the Word of God communicates Godliness or godlikeness.
Our God is perfect according to Matthew 5:48. He created us in His image of godliness and perfection.
However, the image of God in us was corrupted in the garden through sin. But God is still in the business of purifying men because without holiness, no eye can see God (Hebrews 12:14).
Now, how does God purify us?
It is by the instrumentality of His Word. The Word of God communicates Godliness. Contact with the Word of God communicates Godliness or godlikeness or what you might call Divine nature and character. Every time you read the Bible conscientiously, you will come in contact with the Mind-set of God, the way God thinks; and you will know that action is a product of thought.
Actually, action is a delayed thought. So, from the Bible, you encounter the Mind-set of God; from this Bible, you also encounter the lifestyle of God, that is, how God does things. From this Bible, you encounter what God desires and dislikes from His children.
You know, what you see determines what you seize. As you encounter the holiness of God from His Word, you shall attain Godliness in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this: Contact with the Word of God communicates Godliness or godlikeness.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Ask God for fresh insight into His word.
2. Make demands on God to live in righteousness.
PRAYER: Help me LORD to live like You in righteousness. Cleanse me from every form of filthiness in Jesus’ Name.

Topic: Prayer - A non-delegable Responsibility.
SCRIPTURE: And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore. – 1 Samuel 1:10
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To leave your prayer responsibility in the hands of another person is dangerous.
Prayer is a critical necessity in the journey of life and destiny. Every serious-minded Christian is a praying Christian.
However, many people delegate prayers to someone else to do for them. They abdicate their responsibility of communion with God to their pastors or prophets in the church. This is not correct.
Just as you cannot ask anyone, “Please help me live,” or “help me eat my food”, you cannot just ask anybody to pray for you without praying yourself. To leave your prayer responsibility in the hands of another person is dangerous.
It amounts to a lack of value for life to delegate your spiritual responsibility to another person. To leave your spiritual responsibilities - prayer, worship, soul winning, etc., in the hands of another person amounts to a lack of value for your own life. The truth is that nobody can pray for you like you. If you do not know how to pray for yourself, it is a major issue if not a calamity.
For instance, if Hannah was waiting for Eli to pray for her, she could have died in barrenness. Prayer, therefore, is not a delegable responsibility.
Remember this: To leave your prayer responsibility in the hands of another person is dangerous.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Ask God to baptize you with fresh prayer fire.
2. Decide to build a personal prayer altar independent of anyone else.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace not to delegate my prayer life to someone else. I ask for the fresh fire of prayer in Jesus Name.

THE KEY TO DIVINE PROVISION
SCRIPTURE: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. – Psalm 23:1
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Divine direction is key to Divine provision.
One of the greatest things that can happen to anyone on earth is to be guided by God. There are many untold and unnecessary hardships that many Christians have suffered due to the negligence of Divine direction.
Now, what do we gain from being directed by God?
One of the gains of Divine direction is supernatural supplies.
It was Divine direction that led Peter to the mouth of the particular fish in the particular sea that had the coin he needed (Matthew 17:25). It was Divine direction that led Elijah to the Brook Cherith to drink of the water and also to the widow of Zarephath where he was sustained until the famine was over (1 Kings 17:27).
Divine direction is key to Divine provision. What belongs to you is not everywhere; it is somewhere. What belongs to you is not in every place but in a particular place. This is why Divine direction is necessary.
Many people have found themselves in wrong places for lack of direction. So, direction is the secret of Divine provision.
I decree on you today: you will not miss Divine direction. Your provisions shall look for you in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this: Divine direction is key to Divine provision.

PASSION FOR EXCELLENCE.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your passion for excellence determines your portion in destiny.
Excellence is the quality of being outstanding. It is the key to eminence and prominence. In order to escape mediocrity or average existence, you must embrace excellence.
Your passion for excellence determines your portion in destiny. It is your passion for excellence that determines the level of your impact in your generation. You cannot do things shabbily and expect any meaningful mark in your generation.
Excellence is more evangelistic than mediocrity; it is more generation-impacting than mediocrity.
From our anchor scripture above, we can infer that Daniel rose to prominence in Babylon on the wings of excellence. So, excellence magnetizes prominence and prominence facilitates the making of impact.

THE NECESSITY OF PRAYER
OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint. – Luke 18:1
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The depth of your inner life determines the height of your outer life.
It is important to note that prayer is a measure of certain qualities in a man’s life. The value a man has for prayer portrays many things in his life and is a major determinant of other events of his life.
There are two critical facts that confirm the necessity of prayer, and I want you to ponder on them deeply.
1. Spiritual health is confirmed by the buoyancy of your prayer life.
Anybody who is struggling to pray is manifesting spiritual infection and infirmity. Such a person is infected by what I like to call spiritual virus, or spiritual bacteria.
2. Public victories are products of private or closet prayers
For anybody to see victories in the public, he must pray in the private or closet. Before Elijah came out to speak to Ahab, he already settled the matter in the closet (1 Kings 17:1). You must travail in the closet in order to prevail in public. You must travail in prayers in the closet in order to prevail in victory in the public. The depth of your inner life determines the height of your outer life.
Beloved, pray without ceasing; pray as you breathe.

THE CONTENT OF GOD’S WORD
OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. – Matthew 4:4
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To neglect the Word of God is to be a victim of calamity on earth.
The Word of God is an indispensable and vital need in life; no one can do without it. In Scriptures, those who excelled and succeeded did so with God’s Word. Therefore, to neglect the Word is to be a victim of calamity on earth.
From our anchor scripture, we understand that God’s Word is the living force of life. Jesus cast out demons from the possessed by the Word (Matthew 8:16).
Now, what is the content of God’s Word?
Divine Power, Glory and Virtue
The Word of God carries power, glory, and virtue. The Bible says, ‘…through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue…’ – 2 Peter 1:3. So, through His knowledge or the knowledge of His Word, we have power, glory and virtue.
The Word of God supplies supernatural life – living above nature and the ordinary. Any man or woman who is accurately in touch with the Word of God must escape the natural into the supernatural. The Word of God makes you live a life of adventure with the touch of Divinity. You become too connected to the supernatural God to live an ordinary life.

THE NECESSITY OF DIVINE DIRECTION
OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. – Psalm 23:1
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The absence of Divine direction is the abundance of scarcity.
In our study of yesterday, we established that Divine direction is key to the fulfilment of destiny and the purpose of God for one’s life. Therefore, accessing Divine direction is non-negotiable.
It is therefore very important to know the necessity of Divine direction in order to appreciate and pursue it.
What then is the necessity of Divine direction? Why do we need to be guided by God?
Divine Direction is Key to Divine provision
It is clear from our anchor scripture that Divine direction is key to Divine provision. God provides for the person He directs. God supplies to the people He guides. The truth is, whenever God leads, He leads you into provision; whenever He guides, He guides you into your supplies.
In other words, the absence of Divine direction is the abundance of scarcity; where Divine direction is absent, scarcity abounds. There are many people who are struggling in life today with the wrong business or endeavour because God did not lead them into it. Where their supply is located is different from what they are doing.
My counsel is, do not take any step without Divine guidance.
Remember this: The absence of divine direction is the abundance of scarcity

2. Follow God’s leading for your life in everything you do.

GOD’S PROMISE OF DIVINE DIRECTION
SCRIPTURE: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. – Psalm 23:1
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The sons of God are those who are led by the spirit of God.
It has been confirmed that Divine direction is key to fulfilling destiny and God’s purpose for one’s life. Therefore, accessing Divine direction is non-negotiable.
It is important to know that Divine guidance or direction is the heritage of God’s people. Guidance is part of our portion in God as children of God. We are designed to be guided by God.
Romans 8:14 says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” In other words, the sons of God are those who are led by the Spirit of God. So, to be a real son or a daughter of God makes the leading of God mandatory.
In Psalm 32:8, God promised to lead His children, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”
It is assuring to know that God promised to instruct, keep and guide you with His Eyes. However, many people have missed it in life due to lack of Divine direction.
Beloved, I counsel you to make demands on Divine direction in everything you do.
Remember this: The sons of God are those who are led by the spirit of God.

THE KEY TO PROSPERITY
OVERVIEW
SCRIPTURE: And he Uzziah sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper. – 2 Chronicles 26:5
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If you will keep on seeking God, there can be no end to your rising.
Dedication is total surrender of one’s life to God. It is coming to the point where God is the Dictator of one’s life and affair.
The Bible is filled with examples of people who God used to turn their world around because they were dedicated to Him.
Uzziah was one of the characters in the Bible who dedicated his life to God by seeking God. When he sought God, what was the outcome?
From our anchor scripture, we understand that as long as king Uzziah sought God, he prospered. That is to say, if he stopped seeking the Lord, he would stop prospering. So, prosperity is in the agenda of God for His people.
Beloved, don’t ever let anybody stop your pursuit of God. As long you seek God, you will prosper. If you will keep on seeking God, there can be no end to your rising; there can be no end to your lifting, there can be no end to your success.
To seek God, therefore, is to prosper. On the other hand, not to seek God is to remain poor in life. That will not be your portion in Jesus Name.

Topic: WHY WE NEED CHARACTER.
SCRIPTURE: The Lord then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. – Genesis 7:1
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable.
There is a need to know why character is needed in our lives. Many people do not know the impact of character in their lives, so, they misbehave. It was Myles Munroe who once said, “When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable.”
Now, why do we need character?
Character determines destiny.
The reason why you need godly character is because your character determines your destiny in this world and in the world to come. Cain was a bitter person; it was the character of bitterness and hatred that led him to kill his brother. At the end of the day, God placed a curse upon Cain that made him a vagabond and fugitive on the earth.
Observe the life of Esau; his flesh controlled him. He had a character that was dominated by fleshly appetite. The outcome of Esau was that his birthright was sold, his blessing was gone, and he has no memorial on the face of the earth today.
Character indeed determines destiny, both in this world and in the world to come.
Beloved, make up your mind to live with a godly character on earth.

THE SECRETS OF FAVOUR
SCRIPTURE: Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof. – Psalms 102:13-14
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Right living equals Divine favour
It has been established that doors respond to the right keys. There is a secret to every success in life.
Favour has been seen to be a fundamental secret of many great men.
Now, what are the secrets of Divine favour?
1. Uprightness and Righteousness.
In Psalms 5:12 the Bible says, “For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield”
So, right living equals Divine favour. To be upright is to be right up. Anyone who is playing with ungodly lifestyle is toying with disfavour.
2. “Favouring” and Investing in the Kingdom.
Anyone who favours the Kingdom of God in order to enlarge it by winning souls and contributing financially to the physical enlargement of the Kingdom can never escape favour.
God shall arise and favour His servants because they are interested in the enlargement of His project on earth.
Personally, I have never begged anyone for favour in my life because Kingdom investment has been my practice.
I prophesy the favour of God on your life in Jesus Name.
Remember this: Right living equals Divine favour.

THE IDENTITY-CHANGING FACTOR
SCRIPTURE: And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. – Genesis 32:28
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When a man decides to engage God in the place of prayer, his identity is changed.
It has been established that prayer changes the identity, personality and destiny of a man. When a man decides to engage God at the place of prayer, his identity is changed. Therefore, prayer is the identity-changing factor
One man whose destiny was changed by prayer was Jacob. He was a supplanter, deceiver or fraudster. However, one night he was praying and encountered the Lord, and the Lord asked what his name was. He said his name was ‘Jacob.’ And the Lord said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob but Israel. And from today, you are no longer a person, you are a nation.” (Genesis 32:28 paraphrased). You know, Jacob is a person but Israel is a nation.
Jabez had a similar experience of a change of identity and transformation of destiny. He struggled with the issue of a negative (sorrowful) identity. As a result of that, in the First Book of Chronicles Chapter Four and in Verse Ten, he prayed a prayer for a change of story and God granted him that which he asked for.
Beloved, engage in persistent prayer until any negative identity about your life changes positively.
Remember this: When a man decides to engage God at the place of prayer, his identity is changed.

SCRIPTURE: Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God. – Genesis 6:9
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Word of God reveals the character of God.
The character of a man is crucial to the fulfilment of his destiny. This is because character affects every realm of life – marriage, career, business, ministry, etc.
There is a kind of character a person may have that can close his doors, limit his opportunities in life and make God literally helpless to help him. There is a character trait that can make a person win in life and there is also a kind of character that can make a person lose in life. Your character determines your outcome in this world and in the world to come.
Many people have missed opportunities in life and destiny because of the wrong kind of character.
Therefore, it is important to possess the character of God to maximize your destiny.
How can you possess the character of God?
The Word of God reveals the character of God. To know the Word of God is to know the character of God; to be disconnected from the Word of God is to be disconnected from the Character of God.
Beloved, absorb the Character of God by being buried in the Word of God.

PROPHETIC DIRECTION - A KEY TO CONFRONTING OBSTACLES
SCRIPTURE: And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved. – Hosea 12:13
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Following prophetic direction guarantees destiny fulfilment.
Obstacles, difficulties and challenges abound in our daily living. The storm of life normally rises when you want to take steps to cross over to the other side of destiny.
However, obstacles are not meant to swallow us; they are to be surmounted.
Now, how do we surmount obstacles?
Prophetic direction is one way of surmounting obstacles and oppositions in life.
When the children of Israel confronted the River Jordan, God gave them a strategy to cross over. In Joshua 3:13, the priests were to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord ahead while the children of Israel were to follow them. As soon as the feet of the priests stepped into the River Jordan, the waters parted.
It was a prophetic direction that also brought down the wall of Jericho (Judges 6:10).
So, if you can locate and follow the footsteps of a genuine prophet or spiritual father that God has placed over you, then, you have no ‘River Jordan’ or ‘Jericho Wall’ to fear.
Following prophetic direction guarantees destiny fulfilment. As long as you are connected to a prophetic mantle, you have no obstacle to fear.

DEPLOYING YOUR POTENTIAL DESPITE OPPOSITION
SCRIPTURE: …unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability… – Matthew 25:15
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Every child of God is wired with potentials to impact his or her generation.
Every child of God is wired with potentials to impact his or her generation. God deposited His gifts in us so we can make exploits with them. Therefore, the full release of your talents and potentials is crucial to impacting your generation.
It is clear from the Scripture above that we do not have the same measure of talents or potentials. Our talents are not at equal level. This is why God will not hold a person responsible for what another person did or failed to do with his or her talent. But He will demand that you give account of the talents or potentials He equipped you with.
Therefore, do not let anyone’s feeling of intimidation thwart your capacity to deploy your full potential in order to impact your generation.
Apostle Paul made this clear in Acts 20:20, “And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you…” He held back nothing.
Beloved, my counsel is, push out all the gifts and potentials in you. Push out that administrative skill, that managerial prowess, that pastoral unction, that prophetic gift, that evangelistic potential, that teaching talent, that worship grace that God has equipped you with.
Remember this: Every child of God is wired with potentials to impact his or her generation for God.

Topic: THE PROFIT OF WAITING ON THE LORD
SCRIPTURE: And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. – Exodus 33:11.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot wait on God and waste in life.
Waiting on God is one crucial requirement of being relevant in life. Joshua was a young man who waited on the LORD by ministering to Moses. He remained in the tabernacle when everybody was finding their pleasure.
Joshua remained with God and God turned Joshua into a wonder.
Beloved, you cannot wait on God and waste in life; though some people may think you are wasting your time serving God
I remember people who used to pity us in those days thinking we were not enjoying life like other young men. One of them came to my room in the university in those days and he really pitied me for the kind of “miserable” life he thought I was living – a life without socialization. But today, the story has changed. You do not wait on God and waste in life.
If you follow God, those who pity you today will envy you tomorrow. They may pity you today but they must envy you tomorrow if God is your focus.
I counsel you to wait on God even if there does not seem to be any immediate reward.
Remember this: You cannot wait on God and waste in life

THE BENEFITS OF DIVINE
SCRIPTURE: For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. – Psalm 5:12
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Everything increases around the life of a person who has Divine favour.
It is an established fact that Divine favour is the heritage of God’s children. Joseph, for instance, rose to the position of authority and influence by Divine favour. Favour was also the secret behind the making of Esther. It was the favour of God on Mary that made her the choice vessel for the birthing of Jesus Christ.
Two key benefits or products of Divine favour are:
1. Generational impact
In Luke 1:30–31, it is deductive that when God favours a person, He uses him or her for events that can shape the world. He gives such a person a generational-impacting assignment. To be connected to Divine favour is to become a generational “impacter”. So, carriers of Divine favour are world shakers.
Divine favour makes you do what people in your community and generation cannot claim ignorance of.
2. Increase and enlargement in destiny.
Acts 2:47 says, “…praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved”
Anywhere there is favour, there is increase; organizations, families and businesses increase where there is favour. Everything increases around the life of a person who has Divine favour.

DEPLOY YOUR POTENTIAL
SCRIPTURE: A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. – Proverbs 18:16
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your gift is your vehicle to your destiny.
Great men are men of great exploits. To live on earth without making a mark for the Kingdom is to live a wasted life.
One way to do great exploits for God is to release your potentials. Potentials determine possibilities. The decision to fully deploy our potentials to the benefit of our generation is key to making generational impacts. God expects us to release all that He has deposited in us to our generation, and our generation is eagerly waiting to benefit from our potentials.
The way Nigerian police officers would ask someone, ‘Oga, wetin you carry for boot?’ (What is in your boot?), is the same way your generation will ask you, “What are you carrying inside of you?
So, when you deploy your potentials to your generation, you are impacting your generation.
From our anchor passage, we can ascertain that the gifts or potentials of a person do not only make room for him but have the capacity to catapult him from nothingness to prominence.
Beloved, your gift is your key to your lift; your gift is your vehicle to your destiny.
Remember this: Your gift is your vehicle to your destiny.

THE PRODUCT OF DIVINE FAVOUR
SCRIPTURE: For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them. – Psalms 44:3
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot have a crown of favour on your head and be empty handed.
It has been established that favour is a heritage of every child of God. If you are a genuinely born again Christian and committed to serving God, you do not need to beg for favour. Favour flows naturally to the one who is committed to God and His purpose.
Some major products of favour are wealth and possessions.
The Bible says in Exodus 3:21, “And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty.”
From the above passage, it is established that it is not possible to have Divine favour and be empty-handed. You cannot have a crown of favour on your head and your hand is empty.
Deuteronomy 33:23 also says, “And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south”
So, Divine favour makes a person to be satisfied in life. It decks a person with possessions and decorates him with resources.
I decree the favour of God on your life today in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this: You cannot have a crown of favour on your head and be empty-handed.

1. Pursue the favour of God by making it a priority in your life.
2. Draw closer to God in order to attract favour from both God and men.

THE DESTRUCTIVENESS OF CHARACTER DEFICIENCY
SCRIPTURE: There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. – Job 1:1
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The worst thing that can happen to anybody is to have capacity without character
It has been confirmed that one of the greatest things that determines a person’s life and destiny is character. A time will come in the life of a person where he no longer has a problem with witches and wizards, but with character. A person may have the right certificates and qualifications but the wrong character can deny him opportunities in life. It is possible for someone to have the right connections, know the right people, but if he has the wrong character, there is no future for him.
A person may be diligent and hardworking; sweating and labouring, but if he has the character deficiency, he has no future, both with man and with God
It is possible for somebody to be prayerful, attend church services regularly, but if he has a problem with character, it will affect the answers to his prayers. The worst thing that can happen to anybody is to have capacity without character; it equals calamity.
Beloved, develop a positive character in order to be relevant in life.
Remember this: The worst thing that can happen to anybody is to have capacity without character.

THE PROFIT OF DEDICATION
SCRIPTURE: And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. – Exodus 3:3
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Focusing on God makes men focus in life
Moses was an enviable character in the Bible who is worthy of emulation. The Bible described him as the meekest man on earth. He led the children of Israel out of Egypt and through him, God did great and marvellous works.
It is important to know that one key feature of Moses’ life that made him great was dedication to God and total commitment to Divine course.
Dedication to God gave Moses his place in life. He was tending flocks at the backside of a desert yet his heart still went after God. This was why God was attracted to him. When God called him, he turned his back on his business, his flock and the source of his livelihood in order to face God.
When God saw this character in him, God decided to make him the focus of his generation. Focusing on God makes men focus in life. When you focus on God, God makes you a focus in your generation. Show me a man or a woman that is focused on God; that person must end as a focus in life.
Remember this: Focusing on God makes men focus in life.

THE PROFIT OF DEDICATION
SCRIPTURE: And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. – Exodus 3:3
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Focusing on God makes men focus in life
Moses was an enviable character in the Bible who is worthy of emulation. The Bible described him as the meekest man on earth. He led the children of Israel out of Egypt and through him, God did great and marvellous works.
It is important to know that one key feature of Moses’ life that made him great was dedication to God and total commitment to Divine course.
Dedication to God gave Moses his place in life. He was tending flocks at the backside of a desert yet his heart still went after God. This was why God was attracted to him. When God called him, he turned his back on his business, his flock and the source of his livelihood in order to face God.
When God saw this character in him, God decided to make him the focus of his generation. Focusing on God makes men focus in life. When you focus on God, God makes you a focus in your generation. Show me a man or a woman that is focused on God; that person must end as a focus in life.
Remember this: Focusing on God makes men focus in life.

PRODUCTS OF DIVINE FAVOUR
SCRIPTURE: For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. – Psalm 5:12
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot have favour with God and be a victim of rejection on earth.
The favour of God is a very important ingredient in fulfilling God’s purpose. In Romans 9:16, the Bible says, “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” The mercy (favour) of God is needed to make a meaning in life.
What then are the products of Divine favour?
1. Acceptance with men
Anyone who has favour with God will also have favour with people. That was the experience of Jesus while He was on earth: Luke 2:52 says, “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man”
So, when God gives you favour, He also causes people to favour you. You cannot have favour with God and be a victim of rejection on earth.
2. Divine preservation
Divine favour guarantees Divine preservation. In Esther 5:2, according to the custom of the Persian Empire, anyone who visited the king without invitation was to be put to death. But Queen Esther visited the king without an invitation and was preserved because she obtained favour in the sight of the king.
Remember this: You cannot have favour with God and be a victim of rejection on earth.

MAINTAINING PURITY BY PRAYER
SCRIPTURE: And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. – Luke 9:29
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The light of God’s countenance is a cleanser of man’s conscience.
Our God is the God of purity and perfection. The book of Matthew 5:48 says, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”.
God created us in His image and expects us to be holy like Him. And one way to be holy like God is to maintain an association with Him through prayer.
Prayer keeps you from sin and sin keeps you from prayer. It is not easy to pray when you know that you have violated the principles of God. That is why sin keeps you from prayer and prayer keeps you from sin.
From our anchor Scripture, we understand that as Jesus prayed, His garment was white and glistering. Prayer, therefore, purifies.
The light of God’s countenance which we encounter at the place of prayer is a cleanser of the conscience of man.
Whenever you pray, the countenance of God’s Presence purifies your life as we see in the Book of Isaiah Chapter Six.
Beloved, I counsel you to company with God in the place of prayer.

THE SECRET OF DISMANTLING OBSTACLES
SCRIPTURE: Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob. – Psalm 114:7
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Where the Presence of God is found, obstacles have no future.
On our journey of life, obstacles, hindrances or limitations abound. You might be surprised why this is so.
The experience of the children of Israel on their way to the Promised Land portrays this. They were confronted with many obstacles like the Red sea, the River Jordan, the wall of Jericho, the Anakims who were the giants in the land, etc. (Joshua 11:24).
Suffice it then to say that there is no Promised Land without giants. If God has ever given you a promise, there are giants to confront and contend with. But what matters is not the presence of the giants but the victory we will have at the end.
What then is the secret of handling obstacles on our journey of life?
We confront obstacles with the Presence of God.
From Psalms 114:1-8, we see that the Presence of God is an Obstacle-dissolver. Where the Presence of God is found, Obstacles have no future.
Beloved, whatever you do to increase the Presence of God in your life is not a waste because the Presence of God is a weapon for the dismantling of obstacles.
Remember this: Where the Presence of God is found, obstacles have no future.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Engage in spiritual exercises that will increase the Presence of God in your life.
2. Deviate from practices that will take God’s presence away from you.

GENERATIONAL “IMPACTERS”
SCRIPTURE: And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord: – Genesis 19:27.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your devotion to God determines your duration in life.
The Bible is filled with men and women who affected their generations for God to such an extent that the world cannot recover from. Our LORD Jesus made a mark in His time; the Bible recorded that no book can contain the exploits He did (John 20:30).
In our contemporary world, William Wilberforce was an English politician and philanthropist. He was also the leader of the movement for the abolition of slave trade. Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United State of America. He was a committed Presbyterian. George Washington was the 1st President of the United States of America. He was a member of the laity of the Church of England.
These aforementioned great men that shaped their generations were not just nominal Christians but committed and dedicated to God.
Beloved, anyone who had been significantly relevant in the past was able to do so because of his connection and donation to God. Commitment to God that is a secret of relevance in life.
So, your devotion to God determines your duration in life; your reverence of God is key to your becoming a reference in life.
Remember this: Your devotion to God determines your duration in life.

DIVINE FAVOUR – A KEY TO AUTHORITY AND INFLUENCE
SCRIPTURE: For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. – Psalms 5:12
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Divine favour gives a person access to the high places of life.
From our anchor scripture, it can be clearly seen that divine favour is the birthright of the righteous. If you are a child of God, you do not need to beg for favour, you are to exist as a mobile favour.
Why, then, do you need favour as a child of God?
Favour places one in authority and influence.
Divine favour gives people access to the high places and palaces of the earth. Divine Favour was at work in the life of Joseph in the house of Potiphar who made him the overseer of his house. God also gave Joseph favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison and he was placed in authority by virtue of Divine favour.
Divine favour was equally behind the enthronement of Queen Esther (Esther 2:15-17). The King favoured her and made her the queen because divine favour was at work in her life.
When Divine favour is on a person’s life, it delivers him from the pit and takes him to the top. Divine favour gives a person access to the high places of life.
Remember this: Divine favour gives a person access to the high places of life.

THE RIGHT CHARACTER – A LADDER TO THE TOP
SCRIPTURE: Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. – Daniel 6:4
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There is a character that draws people to a person and there is a character that drives people and opportunities away from people.
God has an agenda in this end time; He is raising people to take crucial positions of influence and authority in our generation. God is raising people like Joseph, Daniel and Esther to influence the nations, governments and institutions of the world.
